I remember enjoying DD 2 and 3 on the NES about as much as the first game. They were a decent time! I did always prefer the arcade versions, though.

Double Dragon II was probably my favorite on the NES if anything for the two player Co-op. Growing up with a brother neither of us enjoyed Double Dragon on the NES mainly cause we had to take turns. We always preferred Double Dragon II or River City Ransom.
Double Dragon III wasn't bad per say and there is a small.group that prefer it over Double Dragon II. My thing with Double Dragon III was the difficulty compared to Double Dragon II. I could never get far in it compared to II and to be honest havent played III since I was a kid.
If you are looking for a good Double Dragon game on Switch I highly recommend Double Dragon Neon as you can go.wrong with that game. Even the 80s pop culture references feel right in that game. Everything just worked for it.

As far as I know DD2 on NES is much better than the first game, as it had multiplayer, which was not included in the first game (the SEGA Master System version had the edge over the NES as it had simultaneous multiplayer).
