Where my friends and I usually get stupid:

I've been playing Wave Race: Blue Storm today. Mighty impressive game, particularly, you know... the actual waves. The physics of it, how they influence the gameplay, etc. Kinda of a steep difficulty curve, though. I still won't dare pull any stunts.
I still play my Gamecube sometimes (because my Wii doesn't play GC games.... I was late to the Wii party). It's hooked up and everything right beside the Wii U.
I've been playing Wave Race: Blue Storm on and off for the last few weeks. I picked it up at a thrift store for $3. The water in the game looks fantastic, especially for the time. I still suck at the game though lol.
I also play SSBM, 007 Nightfire, Mario Kart Double Dash and Kirby Air Ride with my older sister sometimes for nostalgia sake. Melee and Double Dash are the best in their respected series' in my opinion.
Other wanting to use my time to focus on the new games I have, the reason I haven't played GCN too much lately is because I've spent a decade+ playing and replaying nearly the entirety of good GCN titles. GCN was pretty much the peak of me playing games too so I've played GCN to death. I just rebought SSX Tricky and Super Monkey Ball 2 (I never beat story mode until then) like a year or 2 ago and other than some Melee and Mario Kart I haven't played GCN in a while. I try to beat almost every game I can so while I spent years trying to go back and beat all my N64 favorites (and being one of the 5 people who bothered to 100% Chameleon Twist), I've mostly already done so for GCN. I'll go back to the console more frequently someday, but right now I want to focus on new stuff or old stuff I've missed from SNES or Sony consoles or Sega etc.
I still can't beat the story mode on F-Zero GX. I've been stuck on the third race for almost ten years now. I got really close last year and then the car exploded, and I almost cried lol.
So until I get through the story mode, the sun will not set on my gamecube years.
I haven't beaten the story mode on F-Zero GX either. I'm stuck for over a year now on Chapter 7: The F-Zero Grand Prix. It's a 30 machines race on a insanely hard track on Mute City and of course you need 1st place or bust. I managed 2nd place once, though. Can't remember exactly, is chapter 3 with Michael Chain and it's crew? If so, I may say that found that quite though too, but the following chapters were easier for me. Keep trying.
I love this game( my nickname is something to go by) though I am fully aware that I'm not that great of a player, I usually play GP on Standard and Expert. Beaten the four cups on Standard and the first two on Expert. It's just the best racing game ever made.

It's the one where Falcon goes to the bar and the old guy enters you in the race. I try again every now and again, but I just get frustrated. I usually just play GP because it's addicting and really fun, even though it can be tough as nails. I usually use Sonic Phantom. I would really like to see Nintendo do another F-Zero game in the near future. I know it's hard to "innovate" with F-Zero, but even just another quality game with some new tracks, characters, cars and some deep customization would be fine with me.
My favorite Nintendo console. I've had one since launch night, and have been collecting games for it since. Still haven't gotten through my backlog entirely.
Since my Wii plays GCN titles, I mostly use it with my GB player to play my GB/GBC/GBA collection on my TV. I have a Pelican Retro Pad that's great for these games, and is an awesome alternative to the much pricier Hori option. Hopefully I'll score those expensive GCN component cables eventually to make the games look even better.
I love the Gamecube. One of my favorite consoles of all time to be honest. I don't play it a lot because when I do have leisure time I give priority to the SNES and new games for PS3, Wii U and 3DS. But I do sometimes go back and play a Gamecube title if only for nostalgia's sake.
Some of my favorite games for the system which I highly recommend:
the other day my cousin lent me his Wii and I must say I never had more fun than playing Gamecube games, I still can't believe I spent all those countless hours onSuper Smash Bros. Melee and Kirby Air Ride and even so once I start I can't stop playing(at least not for a long while)
goodbyes are a sad part of life but for every end there's a new beggining so one must never stop looking forward to the next dawn

I've started playing my GameCube again, ah the memories. It really was such an underrated console with some brilliant games. Lately I've been playing through F-Zero GX, Starfox Adventures, Pokemon Collosseum and SSBM again, so much nostalgia in such a small cube!

I did have a GameCube back when it was new but I didn’t keep it for too long (I was a bit more of a casual gamer at the time). I’ve recently begun to collect / appreciate GameCube titles in the last 6 months or so and although there are several good titles I can’t believe I went so long without playing Metroid Prime. That game was an epic adventure and in my opinion way ahead of its time. It really is incredible how Retro Studio’s captured everything that made Metroid brilliant and fleshed it out into a gorgeous looking FPS.
I currently have about 15 or 16 GC games in my collection and there are still a couple I’m after. I’d really like to get the F Zero game and Eternal Darkness. They both look really good.
