Since I now own every Gameboy made I've decided to move my collection along to retro plug in consoles. I'm pretty new to this so I don't want to purchase what I don't need but I can pick up an n64 without any controllers, cables or games. Literally just the console for £22 shipped. Is this a good move or should I really pick up the whole set for around £60? Also, what are all the leads/cables I would need to purchase if I went with just getting the console? I have a GameCube somewhere which I need to dig out. Are those wires compatible? Any help about anything related would be amazing!
If you actually plan on playing N64 games with your console I would recommend an RGB modded N64. Unmodded N64s look abysmal on HD TVs. The RGB Gamecube SCART cable - which can be quite expensive - will be compatible with it.
@Ellieyward: If you have a Gamecube or SNES you can use the cable that hook up to your tv on a N64 you just can't use the power cord. I have a SNES and N64 and when I want to play one I just disconnect the cord from one of them and hook it up to the other one.
