"pick a tear"? That's the first time I've heard that phrase before. For me, it's got to be the ending of Twilight Princess, when Midna leaves through the mirror and it shatters, and also the ending of WindWaker, with Farewell Hyrule King playing in the background.

Those games have been out for quite a while, and because of the nature of this thread, it's probably kind of obvious, but I'll add a warning, I guess.
The ending credits of Starwing (Star Fox) always got me...why isn't it released on the Virtual Console? I mean, it's emulated for a small part as a Smash Brothers Brawl bonus...
In Zelda: A Link To The Past, after you save Zelda and are allowed to roam the fields of Hyrule on your own. Ah, such sweet memories. :3

Beginning - Castlevania III: This game was hard as nails from Draculas coffin. I played this level so many times when I was a kid because I could never get very far in the game but at least I could get past this first level. Haha..
Bramble Blast (I think that's the name) from DKC2. Best song in a video game that isn't licensed from somewhere else (Star Wars theme or music in Battlefield Vietnam for instance), in my opinion.
