I know it might be a long shot but does anyone know of any arcades in london ? Or anywhere that even has a few machines ?
Lived here for a few years and am in the mood lately for some king of fighters or metal slug or street fighter or even more retro ! There must be something !
To be honest, I wasn't impressed with Namco Funscape when I went there recently. They have Time Crisis, Outrun and all the usual stuff, but nothing really stood out. Even though they have Pac-Man plastered all over the place as the mascot, there is only one Pac-Man game in there, and its some weird multiplayer thing. No original, which was a disappointment. The only fighting game in the entire place was Tekken 6, which from what I saw I expect is just a console in a shell and not an actual machine. And no Mario Kart, which Namco themselves helped develop the arcade versions. I don't know much about arcade gaming to be honest, but I wasn't impressed.
I read that trocadero shut down last month
I might go check out namco place but their lack of pacman sounds a bit rubbish ! As im also a bit of a dab hand with the little yellow guy !
I have heard of a place called hog ( heart of gaming ) way out west ! Is a bit of a travel for me but ill go check it out and let people know what I think
