Resident Evil 4. was what was need to move the resi series forward improved game play mechanics, better controls and item organisation Metroid. as much as I love Super Metroid on the Snes Metroid Prime was just incredible, awesome graphics, incredible sound and gameplay mechanics, and incredible atmosphere with puzzles to keep u thinking. Super Street Fighter 4. I played street fighter since 1992 but 4 improved on everything however I hate the cheap ultra combos they are as cheap as blue shells in Mario kart, punishment for being a great player. All I can think of is Sonic 4 episode 1. It wasn't as good as the origanal series becuase of the physics, music wasn't as great as those old chiptunes, and the graphics never captured the feel of the origanal games but all around I still loved it.

Sonic is AMAZING!! Nintendo is AMAZING!! I AM AMAZING!!
Super Street FIghter 4, Megaman 9 and 10 werent reboots they were a sequel and part of an ongoing series. A reboot is when you start a series completely over like how the Batman move series was with Batman Begins or The Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

In which case, my answer is none. I'd rather a series die than them restarting an old one.

Why? In plenty of cases it goes really well (Rayman Origins, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Blaster Master Overdrive, Metroid Prime, Pilotwings Resort, New Super Mario Bros. (it counts), Jetpac Refueled, Rocket Knight Adventures, etc).
The best strategy in the game: go up stairs and pause balls.
The most horrible reboot of all time will occur in a couple of months: Syndicate. Taking an amazing classic.... and... and... turning it into another boring FPS clone of the PS3/360. Sometimes I wonder if FPS is the only language that "gamers" understand. Reminds me of a blackbaron video at youtube.
Not only does the 3DS come with an SD card, but it also happens to come pre-installed with one, additional dimension.
