Finished Halo 4!!!! That's the MCC done with. That genuinely has to be one of the best value game purchases I've ever made. I thoroughly enjoyed all 6 games.
I think my final ranking of the series is Halo 3>Reach>Halo CE>Halo 4> Halo 2>ODST
Halo 4 wasn't really on the same level in terms of gameplay and pacing, but I loved the story and the stronger focus on Master Chief and Cortana as characters.
Assassins Creed Valhalla can now run in 60fps on the Series S and it still looks great. I'm more and more impressed with my little console after Ori and The Blind Forest ran at 4k 60fps
Is it clear what sacrifices they made? They must have changed something if it wasn't achieving 60fps from the start?
The Series S is definitely no slouch. It can handle Forza Horizon 4 at 60fps and Gears 5 at 60fps. Those are 2 of the most graphically advanced games in existence right now. Should definitely be able to do an Assassin's Creed game at 60fps. Especially given that those haven't really improved their graphics at all over the last gen. Lol AC: Unity is frankly still the best looking game they've made.
Yeah, I'm going to play Fenyx Rising when that's out & then Cyberpunk, too, @Magonigal .... At this rate, I might be halfway through Valhalla by then! You're only in the prologue, you only get the 'start' credits when you sail to England, lols
@BruceCM
Why are open-world games so massive now... I'm interested in Fenyx Rising but I think i'll wait for a sale on that. Yeah I hope Valhalla's size doesn't put me off as I got that with Odyssey and that made going back to it feel daunting, although it seems to be a more streamlined experience from reviews. What console are you playing on? I'm switching between 30 and 60fps on Series S to get a feel for how they look although think i'll stick to 60fps as it doesn't look much different and plays better
@Anti-Matter Well, I don't have Kinect myself, so I can't really give you any recommendations about the games that use the device.
Perhaps Carnival (also known as Carnival games), Game Party in Motion or Joy Ride? And just in case you didn't know: there's also a Kinect-specific version of The Sims 3 Pets.
Other than that, it seems like you've already listed most of the suitable ones for you.
As for an RGH modded Xbox 360, that's definitely something I never expected to hear from you. Anyway, I never modded any other console than my Wii, so my Xbox 360 is still in its original state.
PC, via UPlay, @Magonigal .... I go for 60fps on that, with mostly medium graphics settings, which are at least as good as how it'd look on the now previous gen consoles! It's easier playing right in front of a smaller monitor than having to sit further away for me, so there's not really enough point upgrading the GPU & monitor for anything higher
@ThanosReXXX
Ah, i see.
Because modded Xbox 360 with RGH are so many here in Indonesia. 😣
Looking for the unmodded Xbox 360 was really hard.
Btw, even the pirated Xbox and Xbox 360 games in Indonesia has pirated physical copies with label XGAME & XGAME 360.
Horrible, isn't it ?
I'm so embarrassed to say the true situation in Indonesia. 😣
Oh, Game Party in Motion ?
I think that game looks decent enough as Wii Play.
I guess i have found one.
Thanks for the suggestion. 😀
Don't worry. I still stay on Original games and gaming devices. 😉
@Dezzy
I'm switching between the modes to try and work out what the differences are but in Norway at the moment where the landscapes are quite barren so not too obvious so far. Maybe it will be more noticeable in lush England. It still looks very good in 60fps and the extra fluidity is great to play while 30fps feels a bit sluggish compared
@DarthNocturnal
Have you tried from the Microsoft Store? That's where I got mine (that was a pre-order though) and it must be the best place for stock as it's direct from them although maybe both systems are just totally sold out for now
Started the Halo 5 campaign. So far I'm not seeing why this has such a bad reputation in the series. It's incredibly good. Combat is some of the best in the series. Graphics are incredible. Story has me gripped.
Guys, i need a little help to identify the region compatibility of these Xbox 360 games if i will buy USA machine.
Recently i found some dirt cheap Xbox 360 games from my local online shop, but i still wasn't really sure if those games really can be played on USA machine.
So, i found these games and please confirm me which games that will work on USA machine.
1. Disneyland Adventures PAL
2. Dr. Kawashima Body and Brain Exercise PAL
3. Kinect Sports Double Pack PAL
4. Game Party in Motion PAL
5. Kinectimals Now with Bear ASIA Chinese
6. Fantastic Pets ASIA Chinese
7. Kinect Joy Ride PAL
The machine that i will buy (hopefully still available until January 2021) is Xbox 360 E 500 GB NTSC-U.
@DarthNocturnal
I have checked from playasia for region compatibility, the Kinect games were mostly All Region as they created by Microsoft (1st party).
But, there were some Kinect games Partial Region lock (locked in one region only) and Total Region lock (only can be played based on its disc region). Usually Kinect games by 3rd party developers.
I heard games like Kinect Adventures, Kinect Sports, Kinectimals, etc are ALL region. So, i need a confirmation if those were true.
@Anti-Matter There's no such thing as region free or partial region lock on any official release that I know of. As @DarthNocturnal mentioned, there might be some exceptions, but probably not on the kinds of titles that you would want to play, and definitely not on titles that are specifically labeled as PAL.
'The console wars are like boobs: Sony and Microsoft fight over which ones look the nicest and Nintendo's are the most fun to play with.'
@ThanosReXXX
I read the region compatibility list from playasia.
There are some Xbox 360 games can be played by All 3 regions, there also only playable on 2 regions but locked on 1 region, the other are completely region lock.
But the problem is there was a lot of Untested compatibility for most PAL games to be played on other region machines especially USA region machines.
I need to know that because i will consider Xbox 360 machine very soon and i have to know if those games from the local online shop i founded were playable on USA machines, even they are PAL region games.
Btw, one thing that i have ever known for the case of DDR UNIVERSE 1 (for example) the game was really region lock (USA version for USA machine, PAL version for PAL machines, No Japan release) but for DDR UNIVERSE 2 & 3, the USA version are playable on both Japan and USA machines but still cannot be played on PAL machines.
The strong reason why did i consider Xbox 360 USA machine because i really really want to play DDR UNIVERSE 3 that only released in USA and ASIA Chinese version, No PAL and Japan version and the game is only playable on NTSC J and NTSC U Xbox 360 machines, cannot be played on Xbox 360 PAL machines.
@ThanosReXXX
From the list i read from playasia, most of Kinect games by Microsoft (1st party) was designed to be playable on ALL regions, but there are some exceptions for some 3rd party Kinect games that region lock or partial region lock.
And my majority of Xbox 360 games from my list are Kinect games (8 games) + 4 Non Kinect games.
