Well its only my opinion of course but there is a lot of variety on 360 but the suggestion that there are only violent FPS's and sports games is quite laughable.Of course there is a lot of those games but thats because there popular.Dig a little deeper though and there is some outstanding ,innovative titles available.
First of all i want to say that Xbox is more than pc-ports and fps. I do not like pc gaming at all, but own a 360. I like RPG's, and there are many good ones on there. For example Lost Odyssey. People swearing on the Live community? Less developed people are everywhere, on all platforms. The good thing is that the 360 system allows you to combine your own group of friends. About the 720, now. I like to get a white console. Gobsmacking graphics. A virtual world like PS Home. And a lot of good RPG's, and the return of good platform/ adventure games.

We don't even know what's really coming out on the Wii U. And the games that were announced are the same games that your going to find on 360/PS3, so unless you find those games to be bad (even though you haven't played them yet), you don't know what your saying. Yet.

But in all honesty, More Kinect of course... Though I hope they take it a step further (seeing how they have the money) to make a virtual reality type deal. Now that would be something.

Your point? Wait that's right that's my point. Even though I didn't mention Nintendo in my original post what-so-ever.
I dont think anything is going to go before the name Playstation. But you never know. There's always a possibility.
Dont expect it before 2013-14. The only sure is that it will have an updated version of kinnect by default, real 1080p, tech update and xbox live support. HD-DVD or some other equilivant technology as well. We have to see if there will be any other surprises (maybe some wii-mote type as well for FPS?). Other than that it will have a decent start in US and it will fail miserable again in Japan. I expect better kinnect games, and new shooters. Madden NFL 2015 will come in a special bundle with a real helmet-sensory device. I think MS will follow more the Nintendo approach. Better services and affordable products. It doesn't make sense to go for ultra high-end. The first Crysis 2007 looks better than Crysis 2 (even on PC). Sony has lost more on the PS3 than it made on PS2 and i don't see why Microsoft would go that path.
P.S: Personally i'm between Wii U and PS4 but lets wait and see.
