Umm...remind me again how Nintendo would be hurt if Sony did poorly? The only real connection I can think of between the two companies is that prototype Super NES add-on that read CDs, and then I believe a year-or-so later that invention got scrapped.

Because the size of the gaming market would drop by about a quarter.
People (fanboys of all walks, really), need to learn that competition is a good thing, and hoping a company fails is petty and childish. Four successful console manufacturs means four times as many opportunities than one monopoly.
I don't foresee anything significantly different. How much more graphically powerful can these systems get?
Sadly I doubt any of the next Gen systems will do that. I don't think sony and Microsoft want to sell at a High loss this upcoming Gen. So Im expecting the Bump for all three Next Gen to be similar to Run the PC version of Frostbite 2.0

well obviously it can be graphically better like them pc's already are at this point but in the end its all about the cost and affordability by us the consumers but in till most of us can make sh!tloads of money this is going to be the trend till they sony and everyone else can find the means to have that big of a jump
as for what i can expect from the ps4 well i dont know really basically whatever they throw i'll likely get it anyways, i just go where the games are that i like mainly speaking of exclusives which im bound to like one or 2 etc etc
however i better see something legend of dragoon related HULK SMASH
I hope that they really push forward the PS Vita/PS4 connection that we are currently seeings with Vita/PS3. Integrating the two together is quite nifty.

I don't think were going to see a big push. Most of these have failed becuase the systems haven't been in close development.

Well since the Vita is practically a portable PS3 Sony's gonna have to do something pretty impressive with the PS4 to distinguish it from the Vita.
Yeah No. The Vita is no where close to being a PS3. (though I understand what you mean)
Also Im suprsied by Looking how Much sony Lost on the PS3 and PSP, that people think they will make another Overpowered system that's going to sell for a big loss.
