TrackMania is a series of arcade-style racing games created by the game dev Nadeo. A TrackMania game is composed of very different environments. Each environment features its own car model, so all players have the same gameplay. The only key for victory is their driving skill. "The concept comes from toy circuits from childhood, including the building phase of the play. The main goal of the game is to reach the finish line after validating all the checkpoints in a minimum time span. There are also different modes with different goals. TrackMania is a precision game, and many portions of circuits are hard to pass. Considering this extra difficulty the game doesn't detect collisions with the others player's car, only with the landscape and the roads sliders. Cars can go through others without crashing themselves, so nobody can fail another player's ride. TrackMania Nations Forever (Free) "TrackMania Nations Forever is the Fifth TrackMania game. It is a sequel to the popular TrackMania Nations ESWC. One of its great features is that anyone can download it for free from the net. It still remains a full-version game as it does not limit the amount of usable blocks, so it is not a trial version.Another important feature is that players can represent the country of their own choice on the ladder system, in order to promote competition. TRACKMANIA WEBSITES The TrackMania Wiki is one of the best TrackMania sites to go to to learn about all the things you can do with the game. This is where I started out when I first got the game. TrackMania Carpark is a great website full of a wide range custom cars and skins for you to play with in your game. There are over 700 3D models to choose from along with 6500 skins for those cars. If you are new to the game and don't know how to get the cars/skins into the game, here is how you do it. After you download a car, go to Downloads, right click and Cut the compressed folder (do not extract the files, otherwise they won't work) then navigate to Documents>TrackMania>Skins>Vehicles. If you haven't painted and saved any cars yet, there will be no folders there. In this case, create the folder StadiumCar and paste your compressed car there. This goes the same with Skins. To play with your car, open your game, select Profile, then Vehicles. You now have custom cars and skins to play with. TMX is a track exchange website where you can download and play custom tracks made and uploaded by other players. There are over 210,000 Nations Forever tracks to choose from ScreenMania is an awesome site full of tons of professional TrackMania screenshots. The time taken to make and edit the photos is enormous, but they look awesome. If you want to check out what the game is like before downloading it, please look at the site. TM Mod is a site full of Mods for the game. After you download a mod, copy and paste it to: c:program files>Trackmania Nations>GameData>Skins>Stadium>Mod . You will have to to create the folder 'Mod' and the paste it in there. Also, you should not Unzip the folder, just keep it how it is. To use it, open the track editing list, simply hold the "Ctrl" key and click on your map. A window will appear where you can choose a mod. TM Tube. A great site to go to to watch TrackMania videos. Most of the videos on this site are edited using the powerful MediaTracker tool included in the game. Aw, man! TM-MOD is down. I wonder when they will get it back up (If they ever will). Also, I'm up to 35,101 SkillPoints, but still I'm only 15th in my state.

I have Nations Forever and I'm playing on and off right now. I plan on getting United Forever as soon as I can though.

YESSSS! I've jumped from 14th to 8th in the state with the largest record made in NC! (12,337 SkillPoints on one track!) I now have a total of 56,998 SkillPoints!

OLD THREAD REVIVAL!!!

I just installed Trackmania United Forever Star Edition from Steam and it's awesome. I love all of the different locales and the platform challenges. I haven't even touched the online mode, so I'll probably get to that later and enjoy a week of my life being wasted.
