@CanisWolfred No, but FFXV is delayed until the day before Gravity Rush 2 releases, in Europe at least; three days before GR2 in NA. Although they're different games, FF will definitely steal some of the little attention Gravity Rush would've gotten. I don't think FF is going to kill the franchise though, that would've happened regardless, Sony's marketing is going to put the franchise to an end.
Okay, don't scare me like that, guys. FF15's already guaranteed to be my Xmas present for the year, so I still don't have to miss out on GR2 if I play my cards right.
@WebHead It might, if Sony wanted it. I still don't understand why that E3 trailer wasn't shown off during the press conference. Two extra minutes aren't going to make a difference.

It might cost them something, actually. They have to rent those conference rooms, after all. The real question is why didn't they trim up some of their notoriously long speeches and demoes when it ultimately excluded several of their own projects that might've added variety to their showcase?
@CanisWolfred They had a fancy theather and a live orchestra for the entire evening; I don't think money was an issue. Besides, you don't hire a conference room for a set amount of minutes, it's usually for an entire evening.
@Octane possible. I mean Im saying because House said they're going for an apple style reveal and release. and while psvr runs on base ps4, neo is the optimal experience.
Given Sony's lack of marketing, it wasn't going to sell well either way. They had a chance to show it off to the world, and they blew it. It'll likely lose money and Sony will use that as an excuse to kill any potential sequels.
We are, at least, getting one amazing looking sequel, though. I'll certainly be getting it at launch.
Currently Playing: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (NS2); Corpse Factory (PC)
Anyway, while people being pedantic about every word coming out of a dev's mouth mid-development is foolish (especially when their marketing isn't managed and controlled by any sort of PR division), those trailers were pretty obviously beefed up from the release version. A lot more NPC ships, a lot more asteroids, your ship flies a lot faster, planets look more diverse, etc. Even after buying the game, though, I don't think it's some huge offense. The core appeal—the first random universe that isn't just our own IRL—is still there. It's just a lot lamer.
I hope this concept gets picked up by a more established developer. I'm certain someone like Bioware could make a better version of this as a Mass Effect spinoff. This time it'd be nice to have actual solar systems with orbits, galaxies that contain all of the solar systems (with an extra flux capacitor or what have you required to jump between galaxies), and generally just more arcade-y mechanics and more sandbox-like environment programming. You know: fun.
Resident Evil VII still looks scary as hell... and more like Outlast than RE. The only thing that worries me is how walking simulatory this looks. Even if it's freaky and first person, RE should still have combat and puzzles of some sort. I'm going to remain optimistic, though.
Watch Dogs 2... eh. I don't trust Ubisoft, and this looks eerily similar to GTA Online. Not my sort of thing. It's certainly pretty looking, though. Hopefully there's no visual downgrade by release.
I really like the above Resident Evil VII trailer.
I just hope that it isn't the one gameplay-loop throughout the game. The fact that Capcom says you can play the WHOLE experience on the PSVR makes me feel both nervous and excited!
Gamescom has been pretty ho-hum so far this year, especially without any real Nintendo presence or a Sony conference, both this and last year.
Gran Turismo Sport continues to look amazing.
And those are the OG PlayStation 4 screenshots, not the upcoming 'Neo'!
