What annoys me are when people in the dubs mispronounce Japanese names. Like in IV: Apocalypse, where nobody was apparently aware of how "Asashi" is pronounced.
Thankfully, in Persona 5's case, they provided the option of playing in Japanese.
But yeah, a localization branch for a major Japanese developer hiring actors and allowing them to butcher the pronunciation of Japanese names is very weird.
@Ralizah Yeah with Atlus it's like the little things just add up but don't ultimately hamper the entire experience for me because the VAs for the most part are doing excellent jobs, which is something I can't say for a lot of English dubs of Japanese developed games. Square Enix also continues to do great work in that department
We're well past the days of Dynasty Warriors 3's English dub

I've been trying to find a relatively cheap copy of SMT Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers on the 3DS, but it decided to shoot up in price over the past couple years. I remember seeing it at my local game store a few years ago and almost picked it up but decided not to, and now I'm really kicking myself for it. It's the only Atlus 3DS game I'm missing. I suppose I could get it digitally, but I'd really like the physical version to complete the collection.
@Cynas My personal recommendation at the moment is getting it digitally, as all of Atlus' 3DS content tend to go on sale a lot, namely Soul Hackers, DS Overclocked, SMT IV and both Persona Q games
Physical copies are starting to creep up in price so depending on where you look they could already be reaching the $100 range

@Cynas Prowl ebay every day. It took me months of vigilance, but I managed to snag a CiB 3DS copy of Corpse Party for $50 well after the game was going for $100+ for CiB copies online.
@Ralizah Wow that's a really good price for Corpse Party, that's another one I've been trying to get. I've been stalking Ebay for Soul Hackers pretty regularly and haven't had much luck yet, but I'll keep watching out.
@Cynas Yeah. It looks new, comes with the figurines, etc.
I only expected to nab a cartridge + box and manual for that price if I got lucky. Instead, I snagged the whole shebang for launch price.
I imagine my friend is happy. He had to listen to me whine about missing out on that version of the game for a solid year before I struck gold, lol.
I also lucked out with Persona 5 Royal recently. For roughly $38 I found a brand new copy with the steelbook. And, since it was brand new, I was also able to redeem the theme!
You'll usually eventually stumble across someone who doesn't quite understand the value of what they have.
Also, take advantage of "best offer" listings, because, sometimes, people will accept significantly less than the listed price for an item.
My SMT collection is about 50/50 digital to physical as I’ve only got into the series last year. I don’t really want to pay more than a new full priced game for a physical copy of a game, and the digital sales are always tempting and excellent value.
@JoeDiddley Most of my Persona content is physical but in terms of broader MegaTen titles like the 3DS games it's more of an even split between digital and physical
I even bought the Japan exclusive physical releases for Dancing in Moonlight/Starlight just to add to my Vita collection alongside P4G, and Dancing All Night

@TheFrenchiestFry I’m very jealous but so far I’ve managed to convince myself if I see a physical copy after I’ve already bought digitally that I’d just be paying for a box. It might open the floodgates once I cross that line.
This way I spend my money on different games instead, creating the unmanageable backlog I never had problems with before discovering RPGs (due to their length and usually wanting every game in a series I’m enjoying). I seem to accumulate 3 games for each I manage to finish. A common problem I think!
Ok update on that whole collecting thing: I found my PSP 3000 while sorting out clothes to give away and just cleaning my closet, which means after installing a new battery pack I can finally set out to hunt for physical copies of the Persona games released on PSP (P1, P2 IS/EP and P3P) even if I already have them all downloaded on Vita lol

@Krull I find that P3P is surprisingly the one that's harder to come by even for used copies compared to Persona PSP or Innocent Sin PSP
I've never looked at the prices for Eternal Punishment PSP but I imagine that game is particularly valuable given it's a Japan-only release unfortunately.
I personally have come to prefer physical copies for handheld games and I've already amassed a bit of a MegaTen game collection minus the PS2 games that I've emulated, and installing them digitally will be a bit of a hassle considering the PS Store on PSP has been defunct for 6 years at this point.
