Honestly, with the way Brawl let me down, I'm hoping Sony can do something to make the genre interesting to me again. I want to get lost in a fighting game for hundreds and hundreds of hours like I did with Melee.
Now to see if I like the roster after it builds up a little more.
Should have been called Greatest Hits though. >__>
Lieutenant Commander of the Lesbian Love Brigade
There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

They're saving that for the GOTY edition.
Oh man, I hope so. I'd totally hold out for that version if they could guarantee it. D:

Ya know, the one thing I think is strange about this game is that Sony's audience and what they're doing with Sony Smash don't seem to mesh.
Nintendo is mostly animated and/or cartoony characters, and the ones that aren't have been around since pixel days, so they don't really feel out of place in a cartoony party fighter.
Meanwhile, most of Sony's top IPs (and the third party characters that helped build their Playstation brand that may or may not make an appearance) are mostly T or M rated games. Solike, God of War, Uncharted, Resistance, Killzone, Syphon Filter, Sweet Tooth from Twisted Metal (nevermind potential guest appearances from Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil, Final Fantasy, Grand Theft Auto and other third parties that made Sony what they are today) are almost neutered. Yeah, there's Sly Cooper, Jak and Daxter etc, but it almost seems to me like this should be a Marvel vs Capcom w/ fatalities (or at least some more blood and violence) instead of a cartoony party fighter.
TBH I wouldn't have cared if it was a SSB rip off but what bothered me was the fact that it just looked too much like smash bros and I mean like almost exactly the same.
The cat's the only cat who knows where it's at.

I'm pretty sure Sony fans enjoy fun games just like Nintendo fans, actually.
(Sampled from a conversation in Sony HQ between the press and Sony) Sony: .....So yeah, I think it's great to be working on this product Press: Don't you think this is scraily like Super Smash Br- BANG
