I dunno, I liked the simpleness of Dissidia's fighting moves...although I'd lose against everyone who's hardcore.
Ah. thanks for that info...sounds like Valkyria Chronicles 2 but the people are dead.
I guess, except it starts out heavy, and more non-linear. You'd have to try it. I just checked and saw that it's cheap on Amazon UK in case you're interested.
Buuuuuut anyways...am I to guess Valkyria Chronicles is your favorite PSP? If not, what is?
You and I are opposites regarding Dissidia. I personally love it, but they should add every other game onto the service, although if it costs money (despite the fact that UMD would be considered a higher price packet to dispatch) then they'll decide whether the games are worth it.
I don't dislike Dissidia, but it's mediocre compared to Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy 2, Star Ocean 1 and Star Ocean 2, and even Valkyrie Profile (despite my fervent dislike for it) IMHO. Honestly, they have some serious potential there, and they aren't tapping it.
Easy solution: sign up for Japanese PSN instead.
Chocobo games galore and lots of good other SE games on there as well.

But...I don't have any means of buying anything from the Japanese PSN store.

I'll tell you one thing, Valkyria 3 let's you play 9 squad members again (this made me not enjoy the second game's flexibility) and the Black Tank feels overpowered...although they'll tone it down like they did with 2.
You also play as a Valkyrur proper this time round (at the expense of SP, a new ability points system for the main characters).

You can order network cards from the likes of play-asia
For more money than I can afford, yeah. I can handle a $20 card just fine, but anything over $30 is a no go, and unfortunately, and I checked, over $30 is about how much a Japanese PSN card goes for. I dunno how Zezhroom feels about it, but the price is still steep, man.

Blame the American dollar for that, not Square Enix. They've made their games available on PSP. It's up to you to get them

Also. Japanese credit cards are awesome <_<
The only one I'm blaming is you for rubbing it in.>_>
Daxter - One of the best collectathons I've ever played. Great level design, good graphics for a launch game, plenty of variety while still feeling like one big connected world. Throw in Lots of humor and an interesting story, not to mention some fun mini-games, you have a Masterpiece in the making.
Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters - it's everything great about the R&C series, now on the go. It's missing some polish, but otherwise it's an extremely fun game.
Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror - A fantastic blockbuster game that I never expected to be on the PSP. The mission designs aree varied and always fun, and it has a ton of replayability to keep you interested. This is one game that's sure to wow you from start to climactic finish, and have you coming back again and again. Its also one of the few shooters on the PSP with tight controls, though since it's a slower paced game, it actually doesn't even need them. I love stealthing in this game, too.
Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max/Darkstalkers Chronicles- The most value you could hope for from a fighting game. 8+ modes, all of which are fun to play, plus loads of fighters with multiple fighting styles means that even as a singleplayer experience it can hold your attention for dozens of hours. That applies to both games.
Mega Man X: Maverick Hunter - It's the best remake you could possibly hope for of arguably one of the best Mega Man games to date. Wonderful 3D graphics, solid voice work and some good remixes of old themes, and nothing ruins the charm of the original. It's arguably a side grade, though, changing little things here and there, some for the better, some for the worse, but all in all never manages to do anything drastic. Still, if you like Mega Man X, you'll like this remake. The Vile mode is also a worthwhile and unique addition that I really appreciated, even if he dooesn't play as well as X.
First impressions:
Persona PSP - I'm only 3-4 hours in, but it seems pretty solid so far. The story's alright, though a bit disappointing compared to later Persona games. The gameplay, on the other hand, is extremely fun and addicting, and the dungeon design is alright, though a bit confusing with lots of dead ends.
Star Ocean: The First Departure - Again, only a couple of hourse in, but I'm liking it so far. The story's good, the action is splendid, the areas have been extremely linear, and the character customization is more addcting than it has any right to be.
Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow - Just as good, if not better than Dark Mirror. No complaints whatsoever. The only problem is that I'm having way too much fun replaying old levels instead of playing new ones.
Final Fantasy II - Sigh, I really like the gameplay in this game, but the bare-bones story and how easy it is to get lost is putting me off. I may just have to play through the rest with a guide.
Hexyz Force - I just barely got started with this one but so far it's been mixed. The difficulty has been extremely low so far, which is sad since the battle system is great and the customization system has potential. I'm just afraid that it'll get underutilized like in Golden Sun. Meanwhile the story's fine, and doesn't waste any time getting started, unlike some games. The main character though...she's so whiny. I mean, I can relate, but still, her complaints are wearing my nerves pretty quickly. I recommend playing as the Knight instead if anybody's interested in picking it up.
Hi my name is Melvin and basically I want to see if you can help me. I haven't bought many games in awhile and need more time to manage money. I want these games for PSP and please tell me if you see them on sale or if I can get a deal somewhere. Dragon Ball Z:Tenkaichi Tag Team Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Yu-Gi-Oh Tag Force 5 Monster Hunter Freedom Unite God Eater Burst I would like to also try out the Jak and Rachet and Clank games but I would like to try the first games in the series and I need a PS3. So if you see any deals just tell me. Thanks. -Melvin
Souls are for the weak. I flow with the darkness on the pathway of depression.
Kingdom Hearts won't go down in price anytime soon. God Eater isn't out yet. Yu-Gi-Oh TF5 and DBZ: TTT are too new, so you'll have to wait a while for them to get cheap. Monster Hunters shouldn't be that hard if you look in the used sections at Gamestop or EB Games, or preferably something more local.
I would like to also try out the Jak and Rachet and Clank games but I would like to try the first games in the series and I need a PS3.
The first games in both of those series are on the PS2. And as far as I know, the PS3 has no Jak and Daxter games. Of course I've never played the series so I can't be sure.

I played the demo for PSP and loved it.

Demo? You mean for The Lost Frontier? That's part 4. Congratz, you already played the series out of order, you might as well continue doing so and pick up Daxter for the PSP because it's freakin' awesome.

Nah I hear all the games are part of the story. Even spin-offs...I'll play all of them so way.
