Perfect timing! I can buy this and give it to myself as a really nice early birthday present. I'm glad that we don't have to wait too much longer for this.
Heh, I've been meaning to pick up a PSP for a while now. I think I'll make my purchase on that date, just to see if I can't cause any intentional confusion with the employees. At the very least, it'll be something out of the realm of the expected for them.
It's not that I'm not interested in the Vita, but I'd like to wait for it to get a few more exclusives that interest me.

But the Hype is only from gamers who expected it too come out at a $500 dollar price point. The average Consumer will be buying ipods (most likely the lower end models),and the 3DS.
For the Size of the device the $250 price point is a big barrier. Its's not as portable as an ipod and the apps aren't as robust and don't fit the screen orietation. Its also not as cheap as the 3DS which you could get two games for and comes with memory.
Also for those who want a media center would be pissed that it doesn't come with on board storage and the fact that it uses propriety form of usage. (its not compatible with even the memory stick from the PSP or Sony DSLR's)

Super meat boy is frustratingly hard to the point of not being fun, scott pilgrim is fun for about three levels before it gets repetitive, and I haven't heard of the rest. I have a PSP known as "The thing that plays LBP" on my entertainment center gathering dust. And possibly moss. If the Vita brings it with the good, quirky platformer games that I want to play in the future, I'll buy one, but for now I'm just not interested.
