Well with Fallout 4 on the way I know I'm getting a new GPU cuz I'm going to mod the stuffing out of that game. If it releases this year I'll buy the card for my birthday (this is turning out to be an expensive b-day....trip to NYC and motorcycle).

2K have announced a follow up to XCOM: Enemy Unknown (the good one) - XCOM 2. Due to be released in November this year.
I got on quite well with the first one (Enemy Unknown), so I'll be anticipating this one. It's currently confirmed for PC only (although that is likely to change), and apparently, its challenge will be more in line with the original DOS game (UFO Defense).
Well the game didnt sold that well on consoles, reports say about 1 million between 360/PS3 and Steam sold more than 3 million (and counting)... Im pretty sure it also got a physical release so add to that.
Any reason to get an xbox one controller for my pc? Using a 360 controller right now.

i was thinking about getting the One controller too, but after testing it with forza in a game store i am kinda disappointed with the force feedback from the triggers. it is not well supported by many games anyway
Bar the Gamecube controller, It is absolutely the most comfortable for me. The best for most PC games that require a controller. Definitely leagues better than any pre-4 Dualshock (haven't had any time with the PS4 controller to pass judgement). Oh, and not to mention that horrid brick that came out for the OG Xbox with way too many buttons, some even nameless.

wtf? every button on the original xbox controller had a name. and it was very comfortable to hold for people with bigger hands. i loved that controller. gamecube controller doesnt even have a proper second analog stick.

I'm going to side with nacho on this one... the GCN controller was/is amazing.. I liked the c-stick size as well. The Duke (my brother calls the xbox controller that) still reminds me of the penny arcade comic (can't pull the link at work). The 360 controller is pretty comfortable (I have long fingers for a woman) but I hate the triggers. Still, thank you both for the feedback..I'll stick with the 360 controller.

I might have to upgrade soon. I'll probably sell my r9 270x to a friend for some extra cash. I don't know if I'll be limited by my CPU, though. It's currently an Intel Core i5-3470. It's an LGA-1155 chip, and that removes the newer Core i7s from my options unless I buy a new mobo. I've heard Xeons are pretty good, and there are some more recent ones (lol 2013 is recent) that are LGA-1155. The Xeon E3-1271 v3 is apparently comparable to, if not slightly more powerful than a slightly overclocked Core i7-4770k.
Theres no reason to change your CPU, i dont even think Skylake is worth it, but will have to wait (unless you want it for more than working), the only worth upgrade would be a i7 5960X (8 cores), but i dont see it being a worthy difference (at least in gaming)
Octo cores would be worth it but they are stupidly overprice (Intel ones)
I too have a 270x, will wait for what AMD has to offer to see where do i go, im always going from one company to the other, so i guess i will see what AMD shows to see if its worth to upgrade to Nvidia (970 or MAYBE a 980)
Got most of what I wanted from the sale already. Might grab a few more if Elite: Dangerous doesn't go on sale before Saturday...otherwise I'll just get Elite and call it a day.
