Crap...I still never got the PS2 Nobunaga's Ambition, though I really should've (didn't find out about it until it was gone). I hope they bring over the PS3 game so I can make up for it.

As for the "Koei Hate", their strategy has always been to appeal to a select niche, and like most niche games, they tend to rub people the wrong way if it's not your niche. I'll still never understand the appeal of slogging through an endless sea of useless henchmen, but I love their turn-based hardcore strategy games. They fit my tastes just right.

I'm thinking about getting a PS3, but I'm not sure. I already have a 360 and a Wii, and I don't have a lot of money to buy games. Would it be worth it? Is there a lot of free content?

Interesting turn of events. I got into the Playstation Rewards Beta only to get into it all and signed up and then prompted that my email address was invalid and locked out for 48 hours. I called Sony and somehow managed to land the woman who is a much higher up in than your normal operator apparently and she told me some info I want to relate to you guys is that at the moment Rewards update to playstation.com has caused some issues and Google Chrome is the browser you need to use to do anything right now, or you will likely get the prompt I did about your email being invalid and the internet security will lock you out from changing any settings for 48 hours (Note: this is ONLY for changing settings, not logging in online, PSN, etc, through Account Management through use of a PC. Mobile phones are causing issues as well.) Needless to say Im still in the program but here is the cool thing, we got off subject after she told me "your lucky because you got the person that is training everyone on everything with PSN+ and Rewards and talked like she had a lot to do with the services in general. She said that PSN+ is still very new and will change and expand overtime, with fixes to gettting games Free that you already own etc and that Rewards is going to be a huge deal and will really pay back Playstation gamers for just being just that. Sounds like we might be getting a lot more than Home, Themes and Avatars in the future, we shall see. But needless to say the Beta phase is just that and its causing bugs, but the future sounds really promising.

@slap, so if you already owned a game before you got PSN+ and it came free on the service, you would get your money back?

No idea, but its a issue that is being addressed from what it sounded like and PSN+ will be expanded in the future. What that means there is no telling lol.

@ John..... welcome to the site man and i feel the same as Strofan unless you have a lot of friends who play 360 online and you plan on playing online a lot. Being able to join your friends is invaluable. If you plan on playing lots of single player then go ps3 for sure.

Critter Crunch is this month's PSN Plus download. Seems pretty cool, even if again, it's not something I would pay for by itself.

Hey guys, I've noticed that my PS3 is getting slower and slower to boot up and switch between apps etc. Is that cos my hard drive is getting full? Do i need to delete stuff or do a disk clean or something like I would with my PC?

The latest in PS2 backwards compatibility. Honestly, I find it difficult to be surprised by this at this point. It's disappointing considering they had promised full software emulation before PS3 launch, but it's still better than nothing. I DO enjoy these collections, with the improved graphics and the Trophies. Only downside is that not every PS2 game is going to be released in this way.

What I do find VERY interesting in this article is that it seems to have leaked some further collection plans going forward: Activision and EA were mentioned as on board the program without mentioning specific titles, and Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy collections were mentioned (without specifying which games will be in them). Also, it was the first American confirmation of the existence of the Prince of Persia Trilogy, so I guess we may still have that coming, probably early next year.

@slap i know you have both MW2 and MAG...and for some reason when i play both those games, my ps3 makes alot of noise..but its only on those 2 games...does this happen to you as well or is it just me

So the other three "freebies" from PSN+ this week:

Minis: Vempire. Really good little puzzler. Pleasantly surprised by this one so far.
Bloons. This is classic pick up and play. When I finally get a PSP, this will be one of the first games I chuck on it.

PSOne Classic. Syphon Filter. Shocking game. No point to play this one, and I am glad I got it free, rather than buying it on a whim some day.

@Waltz: Wow, that really is catch-up city for you Aussies this week! Every single free game for you this period has already been previously offered in America.

In other news, I just got my Platinum on Tomb Raider: Underworld. I downloaded it last week when it released on PSN, having only put it off that long due to reports of rampant bugs in the game. Well, they either fixed the majority of them for the PSN release or the reports were severely exaggerated, 'cause I had very little trouble. The game did freeze up a few times, but all but one of those times were in a single room, and the auto-save system assures you'll never have to redo much. The game's good, but not as good as Tomb Raider: Legends. Overall, I'd recommend it for the $15 PSN price.

And people complain about IGN's supposed bias against Nintendo.

They just gave Fist of the North Star: Ken's Range a horrible, horrible write-up. Once again, they've completely ignored what makes these kinds of games popular. You would think they would think about it at some point, considering how long the Warriors formula has remained popular.

The demo of Ken's Rage is awesome. I can't wait to get the full game.
