@CutMan003 It’s 4 PM where I’m at.

Barely longer than mario kart. Shorter than GTA assuming a new mega man arrives in the next couple years.

It is really obnoxious that Megaman went from like 3-4 new games a year to being comparable to Rockstar's current schedule. Is there no middle ground between too many Megaman games and barely any? Is there not, Capcom?

Unfortunately, Keiji Inafune was the backbone behind the Mega Man franchise for better and for worse

As much as I love this franchise, I do have to admit that I’d rather it simply remain dormant than become some dumbed-down crap fest for kids like many other IPs have (looking at you, Sonic).

Maybe they're planning a really big project SAID THE PERSON WITH WAY TOO MUCH HOPE

In all seriousness, I see where you're coming from. Nobody like a unenjoyable, extremely over-saturated franchise. There are some other great Mega Man inspired games nowadays, and I can wait for the next thing and appreciate it, even if it's just another collection. Not X-dive, tho. I don't care for that.

As for Sonic; even with it's current issues, mostly with the games being not QUITE as good as the best, I feel like Sonic is at a good middle ground with it's kid to "mature" audience, and is still giving some good products. Maybe it could be a little better, but Sonic's pretty good right now IMO.

Actually, I really like X Dive. All three of the Axls I have are leveled up to the max. XD

I played the online version of X Dive for a little bit, thought it was boring, deleted it, and swore that I would never get the offline version. I like the offline version; for $30 it’s trash but for $5 it’s great.

Been rewatching one of my favorite Youtubers, Roham Mythril doing his buster only no damage Mega Man Classic runs. I watched 1-4 already and last night I started watching 5. High recommend any Mega Man fan to give him a watch.

I will say, as a counterpoint to what I said, I did see a video from J reviews about Megaman 11 who was...almost bizarrely fine with the series not having much continuation and even said he'd be fine if the series didn't continue, with how many games it already has.

While I didn't agree with that last point, it did make me question why I was so annoyed about Megaman. I've been slowly going through the Zero/ZX collection, one game a year. Only one of them I had played before. I've yet to play Megaman 10, I've yet to play the Gameboy games, let alone how little I've played Battle Network, among other games. I still want to at least beat X4 and X5 after the first 3 MMX games I've beaten in the past. There are in fact, an absurd amount of Megaman games to play and replay, lots of which are quite good. So it is silly to act like I need a new Megaman game.

I obviously want the series to come back already, because it would be a shame for fans if it didn't and also it is one of those classic gaming series I kinda always want to stick around. But...a long break for new games isn't the end of the world.

I also do kinda hope the success of the new collections means the series can be more popular if/when it comes back.

They should keep making collections until all 130 ish mega man games are on Switch:

@StewdaMegaManNerd Yeah, and the questions involving the Coriolis effect (aka the effect the earth's rotation has on things like planes) all involve aiming missiles at specific locations. Creepy.
