With so many LEGO games coming out this year and next, LEGO Worlds is one of them. It's basically a cross-over between LEGO and Minecraft. Currently early-access on Steam.

P.S. I didn't know what forum to put this topic in, so I chose Wii U as I think it will release on there.
I've never played Minecraft and don't think I'd actually be able to get into it, but this looks interesting to me, like there's more robust creation options. I'd check it out if it came to Wii U.

I was looking for a new type of Lego games. This has the entire world made of Lego's and building with lego, things I was hoping for in these games. Now they need to add local multiplayer in both playing and building.

You should definitely try Minecraft. I thought the same initially but it did surprise me by how playable it is.
This is looking promising. Is there definitely a Wii U release?
No. There's only a PC version. Console versions have yet to be confirmed. But other Lego games still have Wii U versions, so there's good reason to assume this will get one too. Even more so because Wii U doesn't have Minecraft as a direct competitor.
I never really got into Minecraft - the first person perspective and the super unappealing graphics kinda turned me off. This, however, seems like it could have a lot of potential.
Unfortunately it's an absolute mess at the moment with frame rate issues, makes it really hard to play when the whole game is stuttering and lagging like it does. Surprisingly though, it runs better on higher settings than it does on lower settings. No idea how that's possible but hey... whatever.
So I rented this game (if you can even call it that) from Gamefly on the PS4 and I have to say what a boring "game" this is. No direction, no goals nothing. Save your time and money and don't play this game.
