This whole "Digital Downloads is the future" bull crap is so funny.
Digital downloads tend to be crappy shoval-ware (WiiWare,DSiWare and Apples downloads....yes becuase all 22,000 of those games on that service are amazing right? LMAO)

Also UMD's just appeal to me as they are disc based and can hold alot without needing a godamn memory stick.

Digital downloads are the future. Of course for now they're using these smaller sized titles as a trial measure, but soon I believe all games will be delivered digitally.

Hang on...you can have digital downloads on PSP 3000's aswell as UMD's?

If so, then I hope it's a LOT more comfortable to hold than a PSP (and to Sean007, with most things you'd have to hold it before you can judge its comfortability), and I may consider getting one.

Sean Apple isn't the only company taking things in a digital direction. Just like music is going the way of digital distribution, so too will games and other media like movies and TV shows. It's coming, whether we like it or not. And of course the regular PSP is an option. I never said otherwise. I'm just getting the PSPgo because the UMD-less features appeal to me for carrying it around on trips and such.

It will change. Consoles in the future will not use a physical media because it's becoming impractical. Not only economically, but in terms of distribution and costs of doing so. Right now these companies are just giving these digital download services a try to feel it all out. It's not practical to go completely digital in everything right now. But I believe eventually, it will be.

700, that's actually quite impressive.

Though I am one who prefers physical copies of their games, downloadable games are cheaper, and I only keep Nintendo based games anyway, I sell 90% of my non-Nintendo published games when I'm done with them.

I'm not just talking about the PSPgo. The PSPgo is an experiment. It's Sony trying out the waters of a digital-only game system. I have no way of knowing if it will succeed or fail. I'm just excited about the prospect of seeing what it will be like.

I think (if anything) I'll just get a really good used 3000 that I saw at a local store, instead.
