I am surprised there is no Humble Bundle General Discussion, so here it is. Humble Bundle recently introduced a subscription option, what do people think of that?
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

But Humble Bundle has more than just PC games. There are also Book Bundles, Mobile Bundles, and occasionally Audio Bundles. If a mod feels like Humble Bundles shouldn't get their own thread then they can lock this but I don't see the harm of there being a dedicated thread for Humble Bundles.

I really like the Audiobook bundles they do - it is a great way to get some interesting content at fairly low prices. I rather enjoyed the Dr Who collection, and their recent set of Star Wars books was also fun to listen to with the new movie coming soon.
Not sure about getting the current Goosebumps set of audiobooks though. They are probably fun stories, but without a healthy dose of nostalgia to help I worry they are intended for a much younger audience. Then again, might be fun to listen to with my kids? Hmm... For a buck, might well give them a shot?
The monthly subscription service sounds interesting. I've seen lots of complaints, but the price really isn't that high and I wouldn't be surprised to see some very decent games offered. I'm just not enough of a PC gamer to buy in to an unknown set of games though.
I am going to get the Audio Book Bundle once I get paid. Looks fun and perfect for Halloween. Worst case scenario, I put them on some CDs and give them to my Niece when she is a bit older.
The only thing I don't like about the Monthly Bundle is that there is no guarantee of worth for the content you will be getting each month. With the Funko Pop subscriptions I have done there is a certain amount of guarantee worth of the items in the bundle. It is possible for Humble Monthly Bundles to be worth less than the $12 a month since there is no guarantee. Even if the only guarantee was that games in the monthly Bundles have not been in any Humble Bundles before then I could see it being worth it. Currently there is no guarantee of worth and that makes it kinda scary. I don't want to pay $12 for a month and then get four or five $1 games.
I see what you are saying, but I'm not sure how useful a "guarantee of worth" really is. I mean, Steam games get discounted and go on sale so often, and so heavily - it's hard to know what a game is really worth, and even if it's worth something now that value will change rapidly.
However, any guarantee would be better than none, right?
If I was a PC gamer, I'd give it a shot. Especially early on - don't companies usually try to make doubly sure their offerings are attractive? And while Humble has been hit-and-miss at times, I feel like they've hit often enough (and really made the whole bundle scene into big busienss) that I'd trust them with $12.
All of that is very true, and I think any value would have to be judged at the time of the Bundle's release. I am probably going to sign up for it this month but a guarantee would help me decide on future months too.
