nintendo- with franchises such as zelda, metroid, super mario, kirby, smash bros to less known titles such as fire emblem, mother, f-zero, they're the company of which most of my favourite games series are from. would be great if they released new IPs, especially for the wii U.
SEGA- lots of people tend to dislike SEGA a lot, but i for one am still a fan of their games to this day. i still prefer the SEGA of the late 80s, 90s, the genesis/megadrive era. my favourite franchises include sonic, streets of rage, virtua fighter, jet grind radio.
namco- i like tekken, soulcalibur, ridge racer, as well as the classic pacman. they also made and released the arcade game time crisis, which is very much like SEGA'S virtua cop. to me, they're not bad.
my least favourites
capcom: capcom in the 90s were a great company- they had streetfighter, megaman, final fight, resident evil, viewtiful joe, captain commando, darkstalkers, rival schools, strider to name. i don't like capcom that much today- they're not terrible. i just miss the old capcom. and i do think they put way too much emphasis on streetfighter. creatively, there are good sometimes and where they fail is when they don't develop new franchises. i read the way they treat their (ex) employees is disgraceful though.
and let's not forget when they cancelled megaman legends for the 3DS, after months of promising fans it'll arrive on the system. they mislead a lot of them, which is not good at all.
SNK Playmore- like capcom, i used to be a fan of their titles. but nowadays, in terms of new games, they just keep releasing versions of king of fighters every 2, 3 years or so. i'd rather they came up with new I.Ps or new fatal fury, ikari warriors games. even namco who make soulcalibur and tekken and SEGA with virtua fighter release games that are not just fighting games. i don't recall SNK releasing an original I.P in the last 10, 15 yrs since king of fighters.
Tecmo/Team Ninja- i've never been a huge admirer of ninja gaiden, dead or alive. they also developed metroid: other M which drew dozens of mixed reactions. it was a game i thought was good, but could've been better if it had been developed by a different developer other than team ninja.

Least Favorites: N space (Heroes of Ruin will be good with the help of Square Enix) 2K Play (mostly shovel ware)

not the most creative choices, but the most accurate ones. And really, pretty much every other company (outside of the now completely insane Capcom) I pretty much know one recent game/series that is great and don't care about anything else they've done more often than not nowadays.
For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...
Capcom: Capcom is a really awesome developer. They have made some of my favorite franchises like Megaman, Street Fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom, and more. I can't wait to check out Resident Evil soon. A lot of people say they're losing thier touch by making all these "super editions" of games, but I think it's a smarter move by being cheaper than DLC and offering a great jumping on point for new players.
Bungie: They have set standards for games, and their games are pretty unique. They've made some of my favorite shooter franchises like Halo and Marathon.
Epic: I've only played their Gears of War games, but they seem to have a unique style of games and add lots of humor.
And of course, Nintendo, Microsoft, and soon-to-be Sony once I get my PS3! Least favorite:
Majesco: I've never even played one of their games, but from what I've seen, they just make a bunch of shovelware like the "Mama" games, and that horrible Kinect Hulk Hogan game that got a 1 from GameInformer. Seriously, it takes skill to get a score that low.
Currently Playing: Xbox 360: Arkham City, MW3, Gears 3, UMV3, Battlefield 3 PS3: inFAMOUS 2, LBP 2. Rachet & Clank: All 4 One, Uncharted 3, Resistance 3 Xperia Play: Crash Bandicoot iOS: Sonic CD, Infinity Blade, Arkham City Lockdown, Mega Man X, Chrono Trigger
Favorite -Retro Studios -Level 5 (Although I think all they care about now is making an anime/TGC/books/movies for every single one of they're franchises) Least favourite -Ubisoft -Gameloft (they have no pride...) It's ironic 'cause the other day I asked my friend what his favourite companies were, and he said Ubisoft and Gameloft.
Favorites (including some developers): Nintendo- I really like their uniqueness compared to some others Insomniac Games- I really liked their Spyro Games and they care about the general audience Capcom- Despite their mistakes, they have loads of well-established franchises, and I love Resident Evil Valve- They seem to be the only few that care about PC gaming and L4D was fun Bungie- They exceeded Microsoft's expectations for the Halo franchise and care about their fans Frictional Games- I feel like they are one of the luckiest developers to survive; if they made any wrong choices during the development of their last game or Steam wasn't there for them, they would've shut down. Rockstar- I love GTA
Meh EA- Since they're a big publisher, they hardly progress in innovation; they gave gamers a bad image to the public and pretty much stereotyped us thanks to this; they give indie developers a hard time and take their intellectual property. I know they're trying to play it safe, but they can do better than now. Activision- see EA, but ignore the bad image part Naighty Dog- Truthfully, I'm just jealous
One thing I've wondered is why does ubisoft get so much hate. Last time I checked they were one of the only developers pushing 60fps for all their titles and 1080p on some of them. I know you people hate and blame them for games like Just dance and the rabbids (fun games) but if you guys would have bought their wii stuff we wouldn't be having these problems.
