I was playing Uncharted 3 online yesterday, and I remembered what it was like to be in an online match in.... Any game. Prior to that I haven't been playing online in any game for months, as I found myself playing singleplayer or local multiplayer. Now don't get me wrong, Online play is one of the greatest innovations our industry has done and I love me a good online match every now and again. I just haven't brought myself to play a game online for quite a while, call me out of touch with todays technology but, I actually don't seem to play online as much as I used to. Anyone else feel the same way?
BTW, If you want to play me in Uncharted 2 or 3 anytime. My PSN ID is mistermanguy.
Not so much when it comes to hand held/mobile gaming, on my PS3 that's all I do really and I don't use it that much so...but if anyone ever wanted to play a game online then I will join ya.

But then again I tried Super Street Fighter 4 3D on my 3DS XL last night, I wanted to see what it was like on my XL and just headed for online matchs....while the game looks good on it the connection sucked for me....
I only occasionally play online. Probably because I rarely play with internet friends and friends are the main reason to play multiplayer imo (and for 2-4 player stuff, local is just way better).
I think the only game I ever got super into online was Halo 1 on PC.
Back when we first got our wireless router, I played a ton online on Wii (MKW, CoD:WaW, Goldeneye 007, Tatsunoko VS Capcom) & 360 (CoD:MW2, Battlefield 1943, Soulcalibur IV, DOA4)...
...However, nowadays I mostly stick to my 3DS, and for some reason I just don't feel up to it when it comes to this system. I'll occasionally pop in MK7 for a few rounds of online Battle Mode once every other month, but I don't get online when it comes to SSFIV3D, DOA:D, or KI:U (I played them a bit online when I first got them, KI:U a bit more than the other two, but I haven't felt compelled to go back).
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
Almost never. I was heavily into an MMO until 2012, but haven't really touched online play at all since quitting that game. I stick to single player and local multiplayer these days.
I play Mario Kart 8 online a lot but apart from that it's pretty rare, I'd like to say I'll be playing Smash online a fair amount but I don't believe the lag will be better than Brawl.
Mario Kart 8 Is pretty much the only game i play online. Why ? Because it has a lobby systems that doesnt let me waitr 5-10 minutes between games and it doesnt support micorfones, so i dont need to hear all the 12 year olds curse into them.
Also, it spares me the constant pop up messages due to people sending friend requests on sight.
Playing online is more of a hassle than it is fun for me. There are only a handfull of games that i ever played online for more than 5 minutes:
all online enabled Mario Kart games
Kid Icarus Uprising
and, believe it or not, Lost Planet 2
If games like, say, Uncharted 3 give me the option, i wont even install the multiplayer portion. Its just a waste of time.
My multiplayer experience is solely offline, together with a room full of friends,
EDIT: Funny, most people on this thread shun online play in general and yet, the comment section of Hyrule Warriors is flooded by people who claim that the game is utterly wothless without it
Hence my theory: "Asking for features no one ever uses"
