Its capcom. These are the same inconsistent moons that almost canceled dead rising 3 when it was a last gen game because it was too expensive.
These are also the guys pumping a new engine as well as a ton of money into a free to play game whixh threatens to have little return on the investment.
This also the same company letting other developers pass them up on gameplay and inmovation. (Injustice, guilty hear xrd, killer instinct) and they're response being a another Street Fighter IV version and saying no street fighter 5 until 2018.

Actually this article makes me wonder how bloated the budgets for the XboxOne or PS4 games will be. EA and Squeenix will surely answer my question soon

With the similarities of the three main systems and internal engine use and asset sharing they shouldn't go up that much unless they decide to go balls out crazy or are badly managed.

Lol were all dumb and didn't read the article. It says the costs would go up if they kept working in the limitation of MT Framework and Pants Rehi should sleep xostsbdown and improve workflow.

And yes, That Destructoid article clearly missed the point of what he was saying...in a way I can't even comprehend. All he basically said was "our new engine is 8 to 10 times more effecient". This doesn't mean it's impossible for them to make games without spending 8 to 10 times more than necessary...

Damnit Steven Hansan, learn to read.
I think the new engine might even help Capcom in its recovery. I mean from what they say the thing is multipurpose so if it works good enough Capcom might even cut the costs(and so be willing to risk a little more after its situation is better, might even bring Megaman back, or so I hope)

If Capcom is having budget problems, why are they taking multiple big risks at the moment?
because it needs to make money and recover as fast as it can or it is run by mad people
