Topic: can't remember the name of that game

So, there's this guy i like and i wanna do this cool thing for him to try to get him to like me i guess.
So, the other day we were talking and he told me how much he liked playing this game when he was a kid but he could not remember what it was called and it has haunted him for years.

He played it on his computer, so the platform is also unclear, and it was around the early 2000's, I'm thinking 2000-2003.
So, the only things he remembers? It was a vertical shooter, he remembers all text being in Japanese(probably never released overseas), he remembers the enemies in the game were like monsters, or demons (i guess that rules out robots?) and the main character, and this is the most specific piece of information i could get from him, the main character was a baby, or a baby angel, or something small with wings, or something that resembles wings, oh and the graphics were AMAZING.

I know i know, it seems like an impossible task, but i want to give it a shot, any help would be greatly appreciated! Currently i'm checking lists of Plastation 1 shooters, and Sega Saturn shooters because someone told me they were very popular back then. Thank you in advance.

Also check out Turbo Grafx 16 (or since it was in Japanese PC Engine since that's the Japanese version),and Neo Geo those games have alot of shooters on them as well.

So, i asked him again and the main character is definitely a baby, and the tone of the game is dark.

Hmm.. Is it 3d or 2d?

Did the game have bullets that flood the screen like this?

Sounds like Gynoug on the Megadrive / Genesis to me. I know, I know it's not exactly as you describe, but sometimes you remember things wrong

@joealejos, how about Shikigami no Shiro (released in the US as Mobile Light Force 2).

The boss of the first stage is a giant baby head with butterfly/moth wings, and it's in the same genre as you describe.
