Topic: Batman Arkham City

Does anyone know if there's a way to turn off the constant chatter? I can handle main villains talking to me but hearing normal thugs ALWAYS RUNNING THEIR DAMN MOUTHS when I'm trying to explore the city is seriously making me want to bang my head against the wall.

I have an extra Batman Beyond skin code for PSN if someone from the U.S. wants it. Let me know.

What do you mean by that? Do their voices not get quieter as you get farther away from them?

@TheSolarKnight: No, they don't...In this game, when you get farther away from them it automatically switches over to your radio and you're forced to listen to them...I've found a fix for it though: beat them up! XD

At 85% in the main story completion. Crazy stuff went down. Given the improvement on the bosses so far, the final boss is probably gonna be great.

This game...is so...AMAZING

Easily the best game of 2011 for me so far.

I just beat it, incredible. Kind've emotional ending too. Now I'm just cruisin' around the city and completing the sidequests.

I started New Game+. I love that they carry over all your Riddle Trophies so you do not have to do them all over and you complete them without having to run around an empty city. New Game+ is Haaaard. No counter signals, enemies hit harder and have more life, plus you don't regenerate all your health after a battle. Loving it though.

Playing through the game as an alternate Batman is awesome too. n_n

batman arkham is just "TRILL" game...

So I was thinking of picking this up in the near future. But I had a few questions about the game.
1. I heard this is like a Zelda type game (where you complete levels, find new items etc.) but my biggest concern is this. With the items, do you already know what your gonna find? Or is it a surprise find it in a box/chest type deal? Hoping its the latter.
2. is it a linear type game? Like do you have a pre determined path?
3. is the city as bland as infamous 1s city? or is there actual fun things to discover?
and last question.
4. should I play Asylum first? Or do the stories not connect?

Did anyone else find the Catwoman sections out-of-place? To me every time there was a transition between Batman to the female antihero, the story seemed to take a huge halt to continue a secondary plot that doesn't feel worth it. They weren't bad, they just make the game feel unfocused.

Yeah, same here. It didn't help that I really didn't like playing as Catwoman either, as I found her grappling substitute slow and annoying, and I just overall preferred batman's quick grapple and stuff <3
