Well, I've been suffering from Ace Attorney withdrawal lately, so I just started up AJAA on Citra. Ideally, I would wait for a Trilogy rerelease but I've really been wanting to play the game lately. Plus, I just finished up Spiderman's main story so that gives me an opportunity to get invested in another game. I'll share my thoughts on the tutorial case soon because I've heard it's supposed to be really good.

@Fizza Do you have a 3DS? Because Apollo Justice is quite cheap on the Eshop (£19 in Great Britain where I am) I'm probably going to get it soon, although I have had some things spoiled for me. Also how do you do spoiler tags?

@TeaCatherine Used to, until it broke about 4 years ago. Wouldn't have made much of a difference anyway since I'd had to have made an entirely new eShop account just to access it and with the shops closing down in 4 months time, that's far too much hassle for something I'll only really want for 3 games (AJ, DD and SOJ).

Besides, I'm the wackpot holding out hope that they'll port those 3 to modern platforms one day so I'm naively confident I'll get them officially one day! 🥲

@Fizza Nah, I'm also hoping they port those 3, even if it is partly so it's cheaper. I'm sort of hoping me buying Apollo Justice would act as a sort of jinx, it's happened before.

Just ordered this incredible-looking Resolve shirt from Redbubble! If anyone's interested in getting any sort of Ace Attorney merch, I highly recommend looking there. There are a lot of great options.

Also, whilst I'm here, I may as well show off a cool jazz playlist I found for AA. I'm pretty sure it does contain spoilers for the sequel trilogy so if you haven't played those yet, just listen to the first 40 minutes: you won't regret it!

@Fizza Ace Attorney music suits itself so well to jazz, I never get tired of listening to covers of tracks. Pretty sure you can't go wrong with a jazz cover of The Fragrance of Dark Coffee if you ask me. Now, all we need is a cover of Great Ace Attorney in this style!

So as part of my holiday splurge, I decided to start up a physical Ace Attorney collection! I wanted to start with the Investigations games since not only have I never played them before, but I also have a DS Lite to play the first game authentically.

Investigations 2 was a real treat. It comes with not only the game, but also two discs, one being a soundtrack, and the other being trailers for the game. It's in fantastic condition and I'm really glad I was able to start off my collection so strong. Unfortunately, I'm not able to play the actual game since I don't know Japanese, so I'll have to emulate it with a patch. But it's still a really cool piece to earn and is easily one of my favorite things in my collection!

@StarPoint Still hoping for a Switch remaster of the Investigations duology at some point that officially localizes the second game.

Are you gonna try to go for a full DS/3DS collection, or are you gonna mix and match with Switch physicals of some of the older games?

@Ralizah My goal is to get a DS/3DS collection. Not sure if I'll get physical copies of the HD Trilogy/ Chronicles since I already own those, but I think it would be cool to get collect every original mainline game
