Okay, so I'm a big RPG fan and I really do enjoy Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles!
Well various internet sites are calling the new Korean Eyedentiry Games MMORPG "Dragon Nest" an MMO equivalent of the FFCC franchise. The games predecessors release Dungeon Fighter, Mabinogi Heroes (Vindictus) have been getting rave reviews and Dragon Nest itself took both 2010's E3 and ComicCon by surprise stifling out Tourchlight, EverQuest, Dungeons and Dragons and even World of Warcraft. From what I've read the game is even better than the one time success "League of Legends.
I haven't actually played League of Legends myself but I have seen footage of the game and I was impressed and for Dragon Nest to have beaten that game in game play quality than I truly believe that Nexon has a winner in Dragon Nest.
At one time I remember when people looked down on F2P games as being "lame" and "bad quality" but Dragonica, Rose Online, Dragon Nest, Dungeon Fighter and Mabinogi Heroes have been causing people to reconsider. The games Vindictus and Dragon Nest even got "Best of E3" awards. Personally, I'd highly recommend Dragon Nest to anyone as I've played the Japanese demo and I really enjoyed it immensely. I've got to say the game is a billion times better than World of Warcraft; but that's just my opinion on the matter and I'd like to see what you guys think of the game.
When will this game be released, or has it been released already? I'm not an MMO fan in the slightest, so I'm a bit hesitant about any game with the MMO label. No hate to MMO's but I just don't have the money or time for subscription based games. On that note, how much is this game?

The game is as free as a tick! There is no monthly fee. All you've got to do is head in to your local GameStop and buy the Dragon Nest game pack when it is released in North America this spring. Nexon hasn't given an exact release date but it's around Easter according to internet rumors and leaks.

I'd amend the title to "For MMO Fans," and not RPG fans. While they overlap, their fans tend to have varying tastes and expectations, myself included.

Agreed. I like me my RPGs (even though i don't seem to have times these days for them), but don't really care at all about MMORPGs (though i may eventually get into The Old Republic, but that's just cuz i'm a SW geek).

I may have to check it out when it gets released; could be fun for a while. However, I do agree with the Guild Wars 2 sentiment...

Yes, I agree that Star Wars The Old Republic is quite a must play game. I'm looking forward to it as well.
@ Tasuki, from what I've read and remember from E3 and ComicCon this game Dragon Nest along with Vincictus and Dungeon Fighter won't really have an item mall. A lot of people who played it at E3 also reported that there wasn't really an item mall associated with the game. Most have stated that it's like a cross between Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles and World of Warcraft. The lack of an item mall is also why Dragon Nest is going to be being sold in stores like Warcraft and Guild Wars. Dragon Nest simply won't have a monthly fee.
I've played World of Warcraft but the monthly fee is one factor that turned me away from it. I hope that Star Wars The Old Republic won't have a monthly fee.

I dont know if theres no monthly sub than they have to pay for the server upkeep and all somehow thus it will end up being an item mall game. Cause unless they charge a month fee or charge for items and such I cant see that game lasting too long due to financial reason. After all they need to pay for the upkeep somehow and wont be able to do it on just the $50 or whatever price it is one time purchase, but who knows I might be wrong.
As for Old Republic yeah its going to be sub based. I just read that Bioware claimed that in order for the came to be a success they need 500,000 subscribers which entails that there will be a fee.
