Topic: Please help.. Fortnite cross-play query

Would really appreciate any help with this mind-boggler (for me at least!)..

My son plays Fortnite on Switch through our Family account and wants to play on another console (Xbox) but he doesn't have the Cross-Play option in the Fortnite menu, presumably because he has is a child account and not his own EpicGames account .
Is there a way for him to move his Fortnite profile from our family group to his own new Epic Games account ? He's built up a locker full of emotes and skins and would hate to lose them all by starting again.
I cant find a way of doing it - grateful for any advice.

With your own post you answer your question. You need contact Epic Games and ask them if they do such a service to begin with.

EpicGames are notoriously unhelpful with such matters so i thought a forum might be more effective

All saves are in Epic Games, so doesn't matter what device you have it needs Epic Games account to make a save. So if they don't have option somewhere to transfer save to another account then you should ask then if they does that them selfs.

@Pops24680 An account on epicgames webiste is what makes a cross platform game possible, and you use an email address to create that epic games account. (that's how they've structured it, anyway.) If you go to your xbox, set up fornite for the first time you will get a prompt in-game to sign into epicgames, which will check with epicgame's server to provide cross platform access to your existing fortnite game profile, they use your email to identifiy you. (I'll admit, I don't like giving my email to yet another site to make an account, but that's how they're doing it.) This is also part of how they keep people from making unlimited game profiles, limiting one game profile per email address. (If you don't see the prompt to sign into epicgames in fortnite (xbox), open the settings in fortnite. It might be in there)

The switch parental controls block voice chat for kids & mature games, not your ability to have a cross platform game, as far as I've seen in the switch parental controls.
