@seaboyluca I feel the AI uses break very early on when there are still no special arts available. And when I ask to focus on a particular combo it works better. But nothing ground breaking (just unlocked chains now and the gameplay is feeling more and more like 2 and that is great!)
@Balta666
Your 3 main arts are available from the start. If you're the one controlling the character with a Topple art, it's up to you to wait using it until the AI has initiated a Break. After that the AI will use either Daze or Launch. Also, be sure to have these arts equipped on some of your characters and not substitute them for other arts. Otherwise, combos will never happen.
@SwitchForce
I feel sorry for everyone still waiting on their physical copies.
On the other hand, it makes me feel like my decision to go full digital on Switch was the right one.
That's what bites...go through all that headache only to find SE ships late and standard games are already at my GameStop...what gives....Also Digital can't move to another system unless the account exists on there either Primary or Secondary. So there is a big advantage to go Physical for such games. Biggest limiting factor is Digital it tied to the account so no share or giveaway unless play on the same console with the account for other players.
@StarPoint You had to played past Xeno Games to appreciate the evolution of Xeno games itself. The fact it Portable on Switch makes it all the worth while to get unless your like the X3 SE buyers whom wait and wait-even though they were suppose to get the game because of PreOrder.
@seaboyluca I prefer to play tank and I particularly like Mio's class. That one does not has either break or topple. But like I said not ground breaking. So far the game has been very easy.
@defhed I am playing normal (I like to play the difficulty intended) and as I am exploring I am generally 3/4 levels above story bosses and can beat same level or above special enemies in the overworld
I got the ability to craft gems and I just realized that you don't need to create multiple if you want party members to have the same gem. Once you create one everybody can equip it at the same time. Man this game just keeps getting better lol.
@kennykenny i'm talking about the first couple chapters. It only allows you to go to the objective, always tells you that you can't explore. There is nothing to do except go straight to the objectives for the first few hours.
My sleep was messed up (1 hour before I woke up to buy the game)and I haven't really got hooked into it yet so I only got to gem crafting.
XC games are mechanically weird enough I'd probably never bother playing on a higher difficulty. As
much as I like these games, the combat is usually near the bottom of the list in terms of what I like about them. XC3 is no exception.
Gotta say, though, I'm loving the attention to QoL improvements in this game. Maybe something will change, but it feels like they went out of their way to thoroughly explain their various gameplay systems and make exploration and completing side content as painless as possible.
Currently Playing: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (NS2); Corpse Factory (PC)
I just bought Xenoblade Chronicles 3 a few minutes ago. I can't wait to start playing it! I bought the game because I got a bit of the story spoiled for me and it made me want to buy the game more so I bought it so I won't get anymore spoiled.
@Ralizah the changing btw characters in kind off odd though, firstly pressing both zl and l is hard and is also though to each character are you playing when in a though battle. It would be better to have a wheel with faces for instance
I'm avoiding spoilers, so I don't want to know more than this, but anyone know how many chapters there are in the game? It would help me in knowing how much further I have to go. Thanks!
