Apparently, 17 chapters .... I'm on 4 myself, so I can't confirm if the info is accurate but that's what I found for the question

@defhed @BruceCM Don’t you dare! This is the first game I’ve properly avoided spoilers for. I can’t live with that becoming undone after three days!

@Balta666 No, there are. The first chapter’s literally called Ouroboros after all. Check the theatre.

Someone should tell Monolithsoft that the flute is actually a stupid obnoxious instrument...

@TheJGG ohh, did not go to theatre yet. And during the story it does not show.

I thought it was weird that the chapter names didn't appear at the end, like they did in XC2.

Just finished the climax of Ch. 2, which was awesome. Say what you want about these games, but Monolith Soft knows how to craft a compelling action setpiece.

I've been playing this undocked 90%+ of the time, which is a nice change of pace from previous games.

This game seems almost completely devoid of the meaningless sidequests from XC1 so far. There haven't been very many sidequests in general, actually. Another interesting change.

This game looks so good on (a V2 Switch) in handheld mode.

I've been playing a bit, and just got to the beginning of Chapter 4. My thoughts so far is that the game is good, but the story is meh. I'm not too far in, but I just had a huge reveal happen, and it felt like one of the most predictable reveals I've seen in a game. It surprised me how predictable it was, given that Monolith are pretty much a masterclass of foreshadowing and storytelling, with the twists being the best part of the game. Maybe this was just a warmup or something though.

Has anybody had any crashes? I just had one happen in that first pond cave area. When I opened a chest.

@Kermit1 Not yet, but I did have what appeared to be a bug that prevented 5/6 characters from attacking an enemy that was right next to them.
@VoidofLight XC1 had some really great plot twists, but whilst XC2 has several unforeseen developments, I don’t think any of them had as great of an impact. I don’t really mind if there aren’t any massive twist as long as the emotional beats hit in the right places (but I’m still chapter 2 and yet to see if that will happen).

@Kermit1 I had one really early on (like in the first hour or so) but nothing ever since.

@Munchlax most likely they were not attacking because you pressed the follow the leader shortchut (it happened to me a couple of times)

I am deep into chapter 3 and trying to explore as much as possible. My first feelings are that gameplay is good but I still feel that I liked the combos in 2 better. Music is the worst of xeno games at this moment, characters I like (on top Mio and Sena) but story quite dull
