Topic: Xenoblade Chronicles 3

Just rewatched and realized that's Shulk, Rex, Noah and Alvis in the trailer.

This is the kind of DLC I wanted. As much as I love XC3, it didn't really provide the closure I expected. Being the last game in the Trilogy, it seems fitting the DLC will actually tie up loose ends. Cause I always wondered what happened to Alvis, and we never even heard from Rex.

Suddenly my hype went from 7/10 (because it's XC I'm always at least moderately excited) to an instant 10/10

Story expansion looks out of this world levels of crazy. Love the new Rex and Shulk designs and the possibility of exploring the Raguel Bridge area again. If the Torna DLC was anything to go by this'll be well worth the price.

Man, I've been thinking about this some more and I wonder if we'll actually see some references from future connected in this story expansion.

@Vortexeo me too. Alvis has some black fog coming out of him, so it makes me wonder if he’s the source of it.

@Mrkittyhead The rift behind him is actually the same rift from FC, so that's where the fog is coming from.

I'm very off-topic, but my copy of XC3 is finally here! I can't wait to dive in.

@ElRoberico Enjoy! I found it really fun to play through, it's as lovely as always, especially that music and world. But the Combat got especially engaging this time around

Yes! Dow e know if this will get a physical release like Torna? I haven’t seen anything yet, and I wouldn’t want to buy it twice, so I might have to skip out on the physical and go digital.

Man I feel like I shouldn't have watched that trailer so many things that are blowing my mind rn 😂

@Mrkittyhead I haven't heard anything about a physical release myself, I know the physical release for Torna didn't happen until a week after it launched digitally though.

Nintendo is radio silent on this for months and the trailer gets a shadowdrop with the actual wave releasing in only a week? What’s with Nintendo and shadowdrops this year? The Mario Kart DLC waves, Metroid Prime, the Fire Emblem Engage DLC, and now this! Hey, I’m not complaining in the least, I’m just surprised.

@TheBigBlue Dude IKR, I was really expecting the wave 4 DLC to drop over the summer. I'm glad I don't have to wait that long 😂

@Vortexeo not a Xenoblade fan myself, I really only know Shulk and Rex from smash bros and that’s it. But I’m glad you guys are getting early dlc like us Fire emblem fans

@TheBigBlue Oh thank you, man! If you haven't given Xenoblade a try before I definitely recommend it! I find the Fire Emblem fanbase and the Xenoblade fanbase tend to overlap quite a bit

@Vortexeo Oh my god dude, I can’t even begin. Prison Island AND Colony 9 revisited? This is gonna be the ultimate tie-up to this superlative trilogy. It looks like a meaty game too, similar to Torna, but that’s no bad thing. Looking forward to another funky DLC battle theme!

I’ll tell you what though. The timing for me couldn’t be worse! So I’ll probably have to get it later🤦
