@TheJGG Dangg that's a really good mashup, well done.

Games I'm playing right now:
OoT N64
DK64 N64
Lego LotR Wii
Spirit Tracks DS
TotK Switch

@Mioaionios
Thanks, yeah glitches are pain

@Takoda
Indeed, there are possibilities. I have a feeling that Z would actually never allowed two N and two M exist together, as it would complicate things for everyone.

@TheJGG
Amazing mashup! I like your other xenoblade mashups as well, very nicely done.

@FroZtedFlakerZz @Tainaru Aww, thank you so much, guys, I’m glad you liked them! The latest one in particular I’m happy with, so it’s great to see the small work I did mixing the songs appreciated this way. Hope you look forward to the next ones too… I’ll just have to make them…

Spoilers for postgame again…
You’d think the next one I’d do is Drifting Soul, right?

@Takoda @Balta666 @FroZtedFlakerZz Thank you guys for the reponses! I've only finished 90 quests so far so if 183 is indeed the total amount I've still got a while to go! (But that's alright because I've been enjoying myself with the side quests thus far )

Add me on switch if you like Xenoblade :)

@TheJGG Dude, I just listened to that mashup and I have to agree with everyone else! That was really good! Dare I say it's some of your best work yet!

Add me on switch if you like Xenoblade :)

@Vortexeo Knew you’d like it! My dream one day is to make a cover worthy of this song. This’ll do for the meantime!

I would produce a few more… but I like spacing out my uploads. My Xenoblade 3 video essay’s meant to come out tomorrow…!!

@TheJGG An essay?? Ho ho. I've always wondered if I should get into making reviews or something for games since I play so many and I use my writing so little these days because of university, so I'd be very interested in seeing it!

I keep buying fighting games for some reason, even though I barely got anyone to play against.

I have now completed all I wanted and will move on to other pastures (started this week metal gear solid 2 for the first after playing the PSOne a couple of month's ago) but still have the notifications on!

80 hours in and I've barely progressed further into the story. This game's side content feels endless.

@Ralizah
As soon as I hit ch. 7 and started hitting all the colonies again, I got endless sidequests. Everywhere I go another 10 pop up. I like to check each map area one by one and disable all icons, just looking for green quest icons or question marks, then I'll hit an area and fast travel to them one by one knocking out what I can until no more quest icons in that area. Often it clears the quest, sometimes it clears one phase of the quest. Then I'll move on to the next area, and systematically knock out everything I see.

That's kept me mostly up to date. Except for missing an earlier sidequest chain required to activate the hero quest that unlocks the final traversal skill. Had to Google that and do like 3-4 sidequests in a row to unlock it.

But ya. Massive side content. I want to do most of it before moving forward with this final chapter cause once I beat the game, it's back to Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak.

Psalms 22:16 (1,000 yrs before Christ)
They pierced My hands and feet
Isaiah 53:5 (700 yrs before Christ)
He was pierced for our transgressions
Zachariah 12:10 (500 yrs before Christ)
They will look on Me whom they pierced

@Ralizah it's almost why I might pass on quite a few. Even just exploring off the beaten path has me spending endless hours not progressing. I guess its a good problem to have though.

Im still in Chapter 5 where I have the ship and heading off to the bottom of the castle or the prison.

Earlier tonight i wandered off exploring the ocean and discovered some islands and also the walking Colony 15 and some odd Consul which is a Hero quest. Should I even mess around with that or stick with the main quest for now?

@XandertheWise You don't seem to realize that it's entirely up to you what you do. If you are enjoying the sidequests and want to stick with the game longer than yeah "mess around" with that. If you're just looking to beat the game fast then just keep going.
I personally, am doing as many dang sidequests as possible because I looove this game

(Sorry I don't talk much I'm still taking my sweet time and trying to avoid spoilers, I will give my impressions once I finish though.)

@Ralizah Lol same thing here, this game is absolutely massive, love how developed side content is in this game compared to 1 and 2.

I could safely ignore a lot of the side-quests in previous games, since most of them felt like a waste of time that didn't build into anything. Less so with XC2, since that game had blade quests, which fleshed out your rare blades, along with more fleshed out side-quests in general, but it still wasn't great, and the way field skills gated content meant you could be locked out of completing a quest for god knows how long after getting into it.

This game, though...

Almost every side-quest feels like it either adds to the worldbuilding, develops a character, or takes me to a new location. Additionally, completing side-quest chains from specific colonies fleshes out the settings and builds up to larger stories about those locations. Hero quests feel even more substantial than blade quests, frankly: in many respects, they're often indistinguishable from main story content. There are fewer of those than blade quests, but you have to double the initial number, since every hero seems to have an ascension quest with similar production values.

If this was either of the previous games, I'd be deep into Ch. 7 by now, since the main story content of those was where all the good stuff was. But here, the side content often feels equally as important.

I wasn't planning on doing a completionist run, but I might just end up getting close to that. Not out of some neurotic need to "do everything," but simply because it feels like it needs doing.

Man, I just finished up chapter 4 tonight & that was so exciting! Can't wait to see what Chapter 5 has in store given that's the one everyone's been raving about.

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

Ralizah

@RR529 Yeah, be careful with youtube until you're well into Ch. 6. Spoilers are everywhere, and while I usually think that concern is overblown, you do NOT want to be spoiled about where the story is going.

I imagine some people would enjoy it (@Mioaionios @Vortexeo @Takoda @FroZtedFlakerZz) so... here we go. I made a comedy montage of Xenoblade 3... so three minutes of me trying to be funny. I'd also greatly appreciate feedback so I can make them better.

It covers the first two chapters, but SPOILERS for the ending, I reference it in the video.

I'm afraid I'm not the right person to voice my opinion on this work of yours.

I can see you put effort into it, but I don't particularly enjoy content such as this.
This has nothing to do with you and whether or not you did a good job. I've seen other YouTubers make content like this before and it never works for me.

Sorry I couldn't be more positive. Please don't take this personally, buddy. Love you! 🤗

It’s interesting that even though I can safely say I enjoyed the other two more when it came to the main story, this is the only xenoblade that I’ve felt like going back to after seeing the credits. I think what you describe here is probably the reason why: the story is over, but it feels like I’ve skipped half the book by not doing all the side-content. I only did one ascension quest so far and that by itself already felt like it was just more of the main content stashed away. Probably going to enjoy my little side quest mania once I get started on that with all the praise I’ve been seeing and the good feeling I have about it. In the other games, skipping the side quests didn’t really feel like I was missing out but here they absolutely seem worth doing, pretty rare thing when I think about it.

I keep buying fighting games for some reason, even though I barely got anyone to play against.
