Nintendo’s games are often regarded as some of the most polished in the industry, but that doesnt’ make them completely glitch free. What’s the worst bug you’ve ever encountered in an Nintendo devoped title?
I’ve had two games crash on me before- Xenoblade X, and bizarrely, NES Online (it’s just a menu, how can it crash like that?!).
Once I soft locked in Astral Chain when I fell out of bounds, but passed checkpoint when doing so, resulting in me respawning on the wrong side of an invisible wall.
Worst bug that didn’t require a full reset was clipping underneath the floor in Mario Sunshine.
Tent glitch in earthbound. If you don’t know what it is, I would highly suggest searching it and trying it for yourself.
In non-Nintendo games: I glitched into an elevator on A Hat In Time and couldn’t get out. Wasted about an hour of collecting time shards because of it😑
The Castle Crush glitch in DKC2 could corrupt a SNES cartridge so badly that the only way to fix it is to remove the cartridge battery. I've never done it myself, but that is worst glitch I can think of in a video game, let alone one published by Nintendo.

Give me a heads-up if you're going to send a request please.
Not sure if it's the worst one but at least the one that stuck with me: That one time when me and my sister were playing DKC Returns and the camera got stuck in the stage with the octopus. We climbed over a wall and the camera didn't follow to that side of the wall so we couldn't see what we were doing. It had an easy fix though, just had to kill ourselves to spawn back at the checkpoint. I shared a photo here on the forums when it happened but the link has since expired (as expected, it's been over 10 years since then).
Non Nintendo but was on a Nintendo console. In Hitman 2 on the GC, there was one horrible glitch I've never read about or seen before other than mine. About halfway thru the game( I can't recall exactly as I was in middle school/hs), as soon as I got to this one exact door to progress, the game would freeze. Everything is fine up until that point. I ended up going back to target to change it out for another copy. Got home and the same thing happened! I went back again to target and decided I would just rather get a new game since there's a bad batch of copies or something going on. But they wouldn't let me change it out. Nearly 20 years later and I'm still ticked!
I don’t have any bad glitches, but I remember that New Leaf had this net glitch where you would walk slowly near the train station, holding a net. Eventually you could walk over the tracks and out of bounds.

Darksiders 2 on Wii U. Crashed constantly, including Death falling through the scenery. Such a pity as I was really enjoying it but gave up after the 3rd or fourth crash. Might revisit it on Xbox (got it free with Games with Gold).
‘You swapped three different N64 games for Pokemon Stadium? Where’s your pride? Your dignity?!?
I don't think I've played many glitch Nintendo games...most recent one that's not exactly from Nintendo, but I'm going to count it anyways because, well...
Mario+Rabbids Kingdom Battle...
Yeah, ran into plenty of glitches, some of them forced me to restart the level, one of them I had to completely close the game to get rid of it. A lot of the glitches were ones that bumped me out of bounds and I got stuck.
Then there was...World 3, you know...once you get to that raising platforms maze area the graphics go bonkers.
I swear I had another clip of this where it was MUCH worse...but yeah it got to the point where my view was completely blocked, it even affected the title screen. lol

Keep it PG-13-ish.
I remember on Animal Crossing GCN I got an item in my inventory that you couldn't do anything with. But that was kinda my fault for using Universal Codes. lol
Nothing spectacular, but I would get occasional freezes in Metroid Prime on Gamecube, usually one or two times per complete play through. The freezes would happen when taking an elevator from one area to another, so something would happen during the loading process I would assume. Luckily, save rooms would typically be nearby, so the best thing to do was to be sure to save before switching areas.
I borrowed Super Paper Mario from a friend when I was a kid and there's a glitch in world 2 that freezes the entire console if you do certain things in the wrong order (I think it happens if you speak to someone before picking up a key, or vice versa?). Didn't think to look it up online but I now know it's easy to get past it just by doing whatever it was in the intended order, so at least when I finally get the game for myself (which I still haven't done) I'll be able to play it properly. But I'm amazed that Nintendo didn't find that glitch before releasing the game, given that I ran into it without intentionally doing anything unusual.
Thank you Nintendo for giving us Donkey Kong Jr Math on Nintendo Music
Outside of maybe Pokemon Red/Blue with their various bugs, I don't remember ever encountering a glitch in any Nintendo game. Even supposedly the least polished titles (e.g. Mario Sunshine) have acted pretty stable when I've played (unless we're counting the ridiculous pachinko physics...)
