Ok a more serious answer, I always just loved the idea of a dude who comes back in every timeline, just always, there only male they get in I can’t remember how many years, is always him, like, idk, your so evil thst you just exist, your a force of nature, I don’t know I just like him lol, oh and also, he’s hot!
He’s usually evil for evil’s sake, and whenever Nintendo try and add some kind of sympathetic element to his character it’s still inherently selfish. Villains don’t need complex origin stories and Ganondorf is perfect proof of that. TOTK Ganondorf in particular brings a real sense of terror, plus top notch voice acting from Matt Mercer. I just wish Ganondorf in general becomes a more active villain in the game since we only see him when he fights Link. I’d love for him to do what Ghirahim did in Skyward Sword, being there throughout.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
Persona 4 Golden
Dragon Quest XI S
F1 23
Xenoblade Chronicles 2
Because he is the only character who has been the same character throughout the series, either freeing himself from being sealed away or being reincarnated when he comes back. Everyone else is a descendent.
Along with Star Fox and Megaman Legends (and of course the Mario games of the era), OOT voice clips are basically the first voice acting in video games to me. And Ganondorf especially just kills it with the...literal seconds of voice acting he has. Top tier laugh, top tier yells, top tier grunts.
GCN era Ganondorf is also cool, but OOT (and Smash Melee) is just the best in that regard. Honestly if not for that, he'd not be remotely as memorable a villain in that game.
@Eel Besides the timeline split, which other ones are there? The timeline split ones are just variants of the same character when the timeline split that gets unsealed/resurrected in the new timeline, whereas Link, Zelda and everyone else are either descendants or new people in their respective timelines.
The only one I'm not really sure of is the BotW/TotK version, as I haven't finished TotK and don't know the whole story there, so no spoilers on that, please.
We have the Ocarina of Time ‘Dorf, who reappears in Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, and is reported to be the source of Ganon in a majority of its appearances.
Then we have the Ganondorf born in the era of Four Swords Adventures, who went on to become a new Ganon for a short while...
And finally we have this most recent one, the oldest one, who was born around the same time as the creation of the kingdom of Hyrule, and remained sealed underground until Tears of the Kingdom. (This information is presented very early into TotK, so I don’t consider it as spoilers!)
This means this particular Ganondorf was there, crusting under the castle during OoT, while a different Ganondorf was above, doing Ganondorf things.
For a bit of a theory connecting TotK and OoT:
In one of the memories, we can see Ganondorf has what seem to be two identical retainers, both with greenish skin just like him, and one wearing blue, while the other one wears red.
I like to believe these two are meant to be the very same Koume and Kotake, who waited for a new king to shape up into a new Ganondorf. This would put OoT about 400 years after the events of the memories!
@Eel Four Sword Adventures is the end of the child timeline, and that one is the TP one reincarnated. Nintendos own timeline states this.
The current Ganondorf is speculative, at the moment, I'll admit that, but I don't see it being a different one. I have a theory on how that has happened, that the OoT Ganondorf and TotK are the same guy, but I'm waiting to see how TotK plays out.
Even if it does end up being a completely different character, up until TotK, he has always been the same character and that was something I liked about him in this series.
