@teo_o The assumption is it'll be the Tegra Xavier SoC. Potentially up to eight processing cores compared to the three (not counting the fourth core, which is reserved for the Switch's OS) in the current Switch. Quadruple the memory bandwidth from 25 GB/s to over 100 GB/s. Then there's potential to bump the ram from 4 GB LPDDR4 to 8 GB of LPDDR4X. The combination of everything would make the Switch Pro slightly less powerful than a base PS4 in performance.
Serviceable enough to entice third party publishers to consider bringing PS5 and XSX games to Switch. Games that are still pared down of course.

What I really want is a system PC transfer of data/savedgame/internal storage so I don't have to use wifi connections to verify and do internal data transfer. This is the monkeywrench in Switch being more useful when you replace/buy new Switch units and sell your old one.
@Slowdive There speculation will never stop though. I've seen threads created for the Zelda game after BOTW 2, Smash DLC pass 3, NSO Gamecube games, Super Mario Odyssey 2, Mario Kart 9 etc on this forum without hints of them existing or it being way too early to discuss.
I do hope this become true but the more the better:
1. PC transfer software without needing wifi access to transfer onboard data to replacement Switch
2. higher Portable display options
3. 4K DLSS or native 4K
4. Updated Wifi/BT
5. Glass screen or Plastic comes with Screen protector already installed
6. More availability of the New Dock when looking to buy one.
7. Bigger internal storage not 32gb but 128gb or up to 400gb
8. Increased sd card from 1tb to 2tb options whenever that comes around with firmware/software updates to hand this.
9. Last and not least be affordable not and not price out those willing to buy it-too expensive and it could hurt more then it helps.
@Slowdive says whom? Then xboxX/psX5 aren't true 4K native as well. A true 4K is a Gaming Laptop or Gaming Desktop with SLI/CF setup and even that has issues at Native 4K gaming @60fps. So for those xbox/psx they aren't true 4K but their fanbase keeps harping 4K but it's not true but DLSS 4K gaming only. Those systems wouldn't be able to cool down a Native 4K running by any stretch of the imagination. But you wouldn't know it if you talked to their fanbase gamers. 60fps at Native 4K is the true test of RealLife 4K gaming but even Gaming rigs have issue doing that-so why would one think a xboxX/psxX would do anything close to native 4K gaming but only DLSS.
@Slowdive remember insiders aren't NIN employees or R&D staff-Unless they identify themselves which they aren't. Unless NIN press release states only DLSS then sure but nothing says that it can't be done whether it's feasible is another matter. Another thing this is 4 at Docked people read Switch 4K and think Portable and that is the part the baffles the mind when nothing mentioned portable @4k. But you wouldn't know this from reading their talking rants.
@SwitchForce
I don't think you know what you're talking about there. I mean technically I don't agree with @Slowdive either, technically if you can output a 4K signal you can theoretically run games at full 4K. But it's a question of which games you can run at a full native 4K. Something like a 2D platformer, especially the kind that run at a locked 1080p/60fps already? Maybe. Games like BotW? Not a chance.
I think the bigger question is whether or not 4K is even worth targeting. There's a reason why even on XBoxSX/PS5 there are games running at 1440p and not the full 4K. The truth is, 4K doesn't really matter that much. People are going to notice the difference between a stable 60fps vs lower framerates more. There's a reason why in PC gaming 1440p @ 120Hz and above with some kind of VRR is the more popular monitor spec.
As for the little rant about docked vs portable.... it won't be 4K in portable mode, I think you can pretty much guarantee that. Most likely screen will remain at 720p which, at that size, is perfectly fine. The additional spec will just give us more detail, more frames and longer battery in portable mode.

I would like changing the Switch Pro battery to be user friendly, not a minor surgical operation, like with the current model. I could handle changing the Switch battery as it is now, but it would be nice to not have to worry about replacing the thermal paste, messing with ribbon cables & screws, and if the console was purpose built to swap out the battery more easily.
I'm tired of browsing eshop using 10% or more of battery capacity on my 4 year old launch switch.
It would be funny if the initial rumours of the NX displaying graphics better than current (at the time) tech had something to do with DLSS trials, and the Switch we all know and love was a stop gap because the Wii U flopped hard (ooh, an oxymoron!) I do wonder how long this new Switch would have been in development for.
I never drive faster than I can see. Besides, it's all in the reflexes.
@SwitchForce
Frankly I have no idea what you're in about. You're saying I'm "denying 4K"?! Implying I think the Switch Pro is fake? Dude, I've been talking up the possibility of hardware revisions since before Bloomberg reported anything!
I'm a "Nintendoomed troll"? Bugger off, I was on here during the Wii U era talking up the Wii U. I was here trying to argue that the Wii U could end up outselling the XBOne!
Just because you're struggling to grasp the difference between a 4K video signal and rendering games at a native 4K doesn't mean everyone who corrects you is a troll
Anyone think there's a chance Nintendo might give the Switch Lite a video output? Im guessing the answer is "no", since nintendo probably doesn't want to devalue the the Switch, but it would be such a cheap & easy piece of hardware to add. edit: heck, it could be 720p video output, so it doesn't totally eat into Switch sales.
@Slowdive Thanks for sharing that. I'll be checking it out.
