Tbh i think an overwatch port would sell, especially with amiibo support ie unlocking nintendo themed costumes.

Peek-a-boo

Somebody did a 3D printed design of the Nintendo Switch.

Doesn't look very portable to me...

A decent enough size to carry around the house, but outside in the real world?

I don't think we will see very many people walking around with these!

@Peek-a-boo: I've done a size test on here before. It's actually not that much bigger than a closed 3DS XL without the joycons, and it can fit in your pocket. With the joy cons, however, it definitely won't fit in your pocket. I can't imagine people going around with the Switch in one pocket and joy cons in the other. You'd have to put your phone and wallet in your back pockets.

Got married.

@Peek-a-boo Seems more like a device to carry around in your bag. Don't even know why you'd put a gaming device in your pocket! Even the 3DS is way too big for that.

IceClimbers

@Octane Agreed there. My pockets are for my wallet and phone. My 3DS goes in a bag, in my car, or it gets left at home. Will be no different for the Switch.

Yeah, I don't see a problem

I cringe at the thought of someone carrying a Switch around in their pocket without anything protecting the screen. Scratches galore.

Buizel

@Octane I'd have to agree with this. I've never carried a handheld in my pocket, always in a carry case with a few games. And I don't see a Switch carry case being significantly bigger than a 3DS/Vita one.

Laptops are portable and they can be over 3x the size of the Switch.

At least 2'8".

veeflames

That 3D print looks larger than the original, honestly. But then again I thought the GamePad would be smaller than I thought it would before I held it in my hands, though....
But yeah, if I'm taking the Switch around it'll probably be with my bag. I rarely carry my handhelds in my pocket anymore (except phones, obviously). Portability won't be an issue with the Switch (thank goodness...).

God first.

@Whitewatermoose And rocket league! Don't forget rocket league. Please let one of these be out on launch! (crosses fingers)

Was Mariobro4. No, I'm not taking off my backpack...it's important.

Overwatch and Rocket League are the only two games I play on my PC. So yes, Switch versions of those games would be fantastic.

@MarcelRguez Hmm, that's true. I guess cargo pants enthusiasts will like the Switch more than anyone else.

Now I'm thinking about whether or not I'd buy a game like Overwatch again for the Switch. As cool as a portable way of playing it would be? It's still an online game so I'd have to have good WiFi. But if it had Nintendo exclusive unlocks, modes and maybe even a map? I'd buy the game again for that.

I'm thinking maybe a local wireless mode. Zelda/Mario/Metroid themed unlocks like a Samus suit Pharah or a Ganon/Bowser skin for Roadhog. Then maybe a map set in some Nintendo themed world. I'd buy that game again in a heartbeat.

@skywake Yeah, that's where Rocket League would honestly be better. It's a perfect fit for the Switch and the Joy-Cons.

Tyrone Rodriguez subtly confirms a Switch port with a series of tweets. When you take the first word from each tweet, you end up with a secret message.

@NintyFan: Well, now that we have Splatoon, I've got plenty of confidence in Nintendo's younger generation.

Very true! I'm pretty excited to see what the younger folks can cook up for us.

A couple old-school titles every now and then won't be a bad thing either, though. I'm very positive on both!

One month today and all will be revealed... Well, I'm not expecting "ALL" to be revealed, but you know what I mean

This wait for January is starting to become agonizing.

I'm kinda worried that I won't be able to get my hands on a Switch for months after it's release because of potential shortages. Any idea how much extra money a pre-order will be?
