Pokemon Scarlet, Nier and Harvestella are honorable mentions. Also getting Splatoon 3 and Crisis Core, but those are Summer and Winter releases, respectfully.
Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope
Splatoon 3
Chaos;Head Noah + Chaos;Child Double Pack
Otherwise, I can't think of much else I plan on grabbing this year. P5R and NieR would be on my list if I hadn't already played them extensively on PS4 (150 hours for P5R; 50ish hours for NieR).
I guess I'll probably get Pokemon, but it's hard to summon excitement for that when they already seem to be messing up stuff related to level scaling.
@JaxonH The tone of that comment tells me you must have gotten past the late Ch. 5/Early Ch. 6 story hump, yes?
Gosh, narrowing it down to just 3 feels impossible without leaving out something that deserves to make the list. I'd say...
3 Most Hyped Fall Games
Bayonetta 3
Persona 5 Royal
Nier Automata
Honorable Mentions
Splatoon 3
Mario Rabbids Sparks of Hope
Harvestella
Still Buying Though
Pokemon Scarlet/Violet
Dragon Quest Treasures
Diofield Chronicle
No Man's Sky
Tactics Ogre Reborn
Legend of Heroes: Trails From Zero
Which is still 12 games in 4 months, or an average of 3 games per month- a new game every week and a half. That's a lot.
And I'm also likely Buying SD Gundam, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Pac Man World Re-Pac, Sword Art Online (solely because my brother said he liked it, then again he's a fan of the anime so there's that) and ARK Survival Evolved (IF it's a good port, which is yet to be determined). So many games.
I'd heard ppl talking it up for some time now, and was anticipating getting through that chapter. I had my own ideas of what the twist would be, but I was way off. WAAAAY off. That was so unexpected, so completely and utterly unpredictable... I had to put the controller down and ponder on what had just transpired.
Best story of any video game I've ever played, bar none, and I say that with the utmost confidence. Nothing even comes close. All that realism story driven nonsense churned out by AAA studios has nothing on Xenoblade Chronicles 3. They can't touch it. And the way the game has made me care about these characters made it hit all the more hard.

Well, there hasn't been any official word on it from the devs, publishers or Steam, @Maxenmus .... But, as Ralizah says, they are rather inconsistent on their rules for some things & it's certainly possible that at least affects the game
Never thought a brand new Splatoon could miss a top 3- after all, it's easily my favorite online competitive series. It's a testament to the quality of the lineup.
Which btw, how awesome is it we'll have both SMTV and Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5 Royal on one hybrid system? And for Platinum games- Bayonetta, Bayonetta 2, Bayonetta 3, Astral Chain, Wonderful 101 and Nier Automata on one hybrid system...
I'd love to see a sequel (or even remaster) of Radiant Historia and Stella Glow on Switch. Start cashing in on all those DS/3DS Atlus gems.

Anybody think Xenoblade Chronicles 3 could be nominated for the Game Awards, it's my 100% my game of the year and the best RPG I've ever played (I've only played one RPG before, Pokemon).
@Kermit1
It should be, but I'd be very surprised if it was, given it doesn't fit any of the typical criteria they favor (AAA, high production values, Sony exclusive, etc) and fits all the criteria they find unfavorable (non-AAA, JRPG, Switch exclusive, etc). Nintendo typically only gets one token inclusion, and Bayonetta 3 likely has a good shot at being that nominee. Expect God of War, Horizon Forbidden West (deserved or not it's a big AAA PS exclusive- that's an automatic nomination), Elden Ring, Tunic (gotta be a token Xbox exclusive and indie darling- this kills two birds with one stone), probably Overwatch 2 or some other AAA pick, and the token Switch nomination (my guess is Bayo 3).
But you never know. It could be nominated. Stranger things have happened.
Either way I wouldn't put too much stock into whether it does or doesn't. It's proven time and again to not be impartial, so what's the point.
Thus far it's also my GotY, though I would say Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak is tied with it. That's a DLC expansion, but it's large enough to feel like a full game to me. And I think Splatoon 3 and Bayonetta 3 could potentially give it a run for it's money.
I think I can safely say XC3 is my new fave JRPG of all time though, surpassing all the greats- Final Fantasy X, Lost Odyssey, The Last Story, Persona 4 Golden, Xenoblade 1/2 and Xenoblade X.
@Kermit1

Honestly I almost never touch my Lost Sphear Switch version due to not ready yet to get into the game. I bought the game on early 2018 in Japan version with English support so the characters are talking in Japanese voices.
I have a plan to get the PS4 version as it has 60 fps (Switch version is 30 fps).
One of my complaint about Lost Sphear was the text size that so small.
But at launch it was exclusive, so the game is associated with Xbox as an exclusive because of that.
As for whether it's a good or bad thing, I'd argue any token inclusion picked to check off a box or appear unbiased, is bad. Even if the game actually deserves it, if it's being chosen for the wrong reasons, that's definitely not good. I think they should nominate the 6 best games without worrying about including games from certain platforms or indies or whatever. Just pick the 6 best games. If they're all indies so be it. If none of them are so be it. If they're all Japanese games that don't pander to the Keighly audience, so be it. The awards should be about recognition of the best games, and nothing else, I think.
