@Ninfan Not really. There are a lot of Switch games you can get in a physical format, but quite a few are download-only. I don't think there's a Nintendo Life app, the closest thing to that is browsing the site on a mobile browser.

Favorite game: Super Mario 3D World
AKA MarioVillager92. Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I want to get to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
@JaxonH Some how I missed the news that there was going to port this game, i'm not into games like this but it looks cool so happy to whoever wanted it.
Nintendo are like woman, You love them for whats on the inside, not the outside…you know what I mean! Luzlane best girl!

With Asha in Monster World, Ninja Gaiden trilogy, Mario Golf, & Skyward Sword coming in the near future, there's more coming out than I can reasonably play (that & I'm getting on with Famicom Detective Club: the Missing Heir more than I thought I would, so I'll be wanting to get around to the Girl Who Stands Behind sometime in the future as well).
Oh, and I still haven't gotten Pikmin 3: Deluxe, Wonderful 101 Remastered, Hyrule Warriors: AoC, Gun Gun Pixies, Devil May Cry 3 HD, or any of the myriad of Resident Evil games available either. Somebody save me from the Switch game onslaught, lol.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

It’s good to expand your horizons sometimes. Normally I wouldn’t think a game like Maneater would appeal to me, but after watching that video, it absolutely does. The premise of getting caught by the shark Hunter and hung upside down on a boat in the bayou, while he cuts you open and takes out your baby shark, which he then cuts to “mark” for when he spears it as an adult so he can recognize it, and the baby bites his hand off and escapes over board, and the game then shifts to you playing the baby that is now out for revenge... muah! So good!
And it legitimately looks impressive on Switch. I couldn’t believe the screenshots when I first saw them on the eShop. I thought for sure they were doing false advertising like a lot of other developers have, putting PS shots on the eShop. But after watching the footage it seems I was wrong- that’s actually the Switch version.
I think of it as a modern take on Ecco the Dolphin 😉 and who didn’t like Ecco, ammirite? Ecco the Dolphin, Jaws the Maneating Shark... tomato, tomahto

@Slowdive I’m not expecting any surprises regarding anything coming to the Switch outside what we already know. It seems Sony are really spending big on getting the exclusives/times exclusives with Square Enix.

That'd be an odd title, though, @Slowdive .... Was that from the actual interview? I thought he'd just said there was something FF, other than XVI or VII Remake related?
I mean, just about anything FF related will be exciting to me, anyway, @Slowdive .... It must be the same thing that was definitely mentioned in an interview, too, so we'll find out soon enough just what it is! I'd certainly be up for a Nioh/ Dark Souls/ FF combination
I'm not very familiar with Metroid, @Grumblevolcano .... But if FF wants to crossover with it, that might be cool! Compilation of older FFs isn't much use to me, with all the ones on Steam & Android but it'd be great for that to come, too, @Slowdive
There's rumored to be a Final Fantasy compilation coming, with the older, sprite-based titles. Something I personally hoped for since day-one. Hopefully Switch-bound too.
An interview with Giles Goddard has popped on YouTube, he talks about his time working with Ninty since the 90s.
There’s a few tidbits I found interesting like Tank Troopers was meant to have a multiplayer mode and be ported to Switch, how Ninty has changed their ways working with other companies and creating the stretchy face in Mario 64.
People almost always speak without researching first. Vast majority of times people say, “you can get that so much cheaper on Steam“, Then I go check Steam and it’s full price, or even more expensive than Switch.
The game comes with all the DLC, and, it’s never released on the Nintendo switch platform. You’re not gonna get an orange clearance sticker price for a reasonably recent game (it’s not some N64 game from 25 years ago) that’s never released on the platform before. I wish schools would teach basic economics but you don’t learn that until college unfortunately, even then it’s not a core class.
Prices drop to increase quantity demanded as needed. On a new platform, especially one that offers an exclusive hybrid handheld version, demand is through the roof. Prices don’t drop out of charity or morality, they drop as an economic function to increase quantity demanded as demand is satiated in the market. There’s no question a lower price would increase demand, but is it needed? Clearly they don’t think so, though judging by the fact it’s $80 on both Steam and PS Store, they’re selling at a discount as is.
You might be able to grab physical for $20-30, but then you’ve still got to buy the season pass and all the extra DLC, which isn’t on sale or physical, so you’d still end up spending almost the same amount. Maybe $10 less. And miss out on 50% of the value of getting a handheld hybrid version bundled in with the console version.
At the end of the day, if you see a game for less that released somewhere else first, And you think that’s a better buy, then that’s what you should buy. But if you waited 3 years just to save $10, why not wait 3 years for the Switch version to drop. Then you can save well over $10 and get twice the value with the hybrid version. Win win. People always want to compare day one Switch prices to 3 year old prices elsewhere. Like, the only reason those prices are lower are because you waited 3 years for them to drop. So it’s an unfair comparison to not likewise wait for Switch to drop too. Although all that’s moot anyways because the game’s actually $20 cheaper on Switch.

Asking; who is excited for the Dragon Quest 35th Anniversary livestream on the 26/27th? I can’t wait, because I’m a fan of the series, I really loved the games I’ve played, and it feels like they’re putting in effort for this one.
Besides, the next mainline Dragon Quest title? Awwwww YEEEEEES!
