Back to the Pokemon discussion, I feel the Pokemon games that would be best to put on the Switch are Colosseum and XD Gale of Darkness. For Switch to really excel in the retro games area, GC needs to appear. Sunshine in 3D All Stars was a good start and I think there's a good chance we could get Wind Waker and/or Twilight Princess next year as part of Zelda 35th anniversary via the Wii U ports but it would be really good to go further.

Hello.
I'm on the eShop, and I see that Killer Queen Black it's 2 dollars. So, if you have the game, is it good? And, is the community active? People still play online?
Thank you

@Grumblevolcano

We had those Skyward Sword HD rumors recently.

Question is would Nintendo give it a singular release or as part of a collection like Mario Galaxy?

Switch Physical Collection - 1,561 games (as of April 18th, 2026)
Switch 2 Physical Collection - 4 games (as of December 8th, 2025)

@Grumblevolcano that depends more on Pokémon Company part to consider a remaster or remake of this games to release on Switch, Nintendo only publishe the games, but who decide or not let release a remaster or remake of this games is Pokémon Company.

@Magician i believe for Legend of Zelda 35th anniversary, they gonna do a colection with Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, Legend of Zelda Wind Waker HD, Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess HD, and a remaster/remake of Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword and finishing the year and the celebration of the franchise 35th anniversary, with Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 in Holiday 2021, problaby in novembre 19th, the only Zeldas release separate for maybe a Collection is gonna be a remake/remaster of Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword and Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2.

@martyscott89 they will Aya Kyokogu and Hishashi Nogami the director and producer/co-creator of the franchise, have stated in a interview they gonna suport the game trough contant free updates until 2022, so in short 3 years of constant free updates for the game bringing a lot of new contents and some gameplay and content that have be avaliable in previous Animal Crossing games.

Honestly I know that people are frothing for GCN on switch but I'd like to see GBA myself. After we got a taste on wiiu there are a TON of gems locked on that system (with BC to the DS) and I feel like the switch opens it up so that a lot of handheld games that console gamers didn't play could be offered. I'd love a famicom wars/advance wars collection or a FE collection. My hope is that with things like the 3D allstars that Nintendo will invest in collections if they don't wanna roll out NSO games. I've always felt that collections beat out VC anyway.

@Ryu_Niiyama I'd buy a Wars collection in a heartbeat, but I feel like they would sell it only in Japan since the first 6 games weren't localized. Though, if we do get one, I kinda hope we'd get the 2 GCN/Wii games included as well.

@Ryu_Niiyama Even though no new console was added to NSO this year, I still think GBA may be coming to NSO. My guess is the GB line (GB/GBC/GBA) ends up on NSO meanwhile the home consoles after SNES are ports/remasters and the DS line (DS/3DS/N3DS) is lost to time unless another dual screen handheld appears.

@Grumblevolcano Ugh I think you are correct on the dual screen games. I feel like if Wiiu had sold better then Nintendo would have gone all in at least up to DS but that may be a pipe dream. Still, we never know what may happen once the Switch successor is out as I feel that will be a the first system without Iwata-denka's influence. If Nintendo goes money hungry they may try to capitalize on the 3ds market-share in some way. I'm still holding out hope for a 3DS player.

@Grumblevolcano I highly doubt that. Most notable DS exclusives will be back in some form. At the very least, the 3 main Zelda (PH, ST, aLBW) games will be either remade or ported or emulated someday. Nintendo already republished TWEWY, and I think Bravely Default / Second are likely to come over sooner or later if Bravely Default II does well. Pokemon and Fire Emblem DS/3DS games will get remade (sooner or later). SMT IV and A will probably get a bundled remaster for $60/$70(if it's next gen) down the line, and all the Kirby games will show up in a collection sooner or later. The Layton games will inevitably be ported to phones before coming back to modern consoles as well, like what's happening with the Ace Attourney titles.

The main games at risk are the NSMB, Advance Wars, Mario & Luigi, Luigi's Mansion 2, Kid Icarus Uprising, Super Mario 3D Land, Metroid Samus Returns and Prime Hunters, and potentially the upgraded versions of Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. Also, all the Kingdom Hearts portable games look to be pretty much gone for good save DDD. I do think about half the major exclusives are either already ported or pretty secure in coming back sooner or later though.

EDIT: Also, the amazing but overlooked Elite Beat Agents and Retro Game Challenge are probably gone for good, sadly.

@Ryu_Niiyama i can see the Game Boy line( GB, GBC and GBA) coming to Switch Online eventually, but bringing DS and 3DS is gonna be much harder, since some games have a huge use of the dual Screen aspect for something, how could you brings this consoles and games to Switch Online, without heavily impacting it gameplay?

I have said before and will say again. Be it NSO, VC, or collections like 3D All Stars, I just want more of my retro nostalgia on Switch. NES and SNES have gotten a LOT of love. I'd like GB/GBC/GBA games, N64 and GameCube titles. Pokemon, Advance Wars, Fire Emblem, etc etc from that era.

I feel like we've catered to early 90s stuff for a long time now. I want some love for late 90s and early 2000s stuff too.

I'd really rather not use random Chinese piracy boxes to do so. And I do understand that some games are probably lost in licensing hell forever. Like the Star Wars Rogue Squadron games and other licensed titles.
