@WebHead Hm. Well I'm not expecting anything this month now from Nintendo. Even if the NX were to leak with picture evidence I can see them happily riding it out remaining dead silent. They seem happy to just do nothing regarding the NX reveal right now.

Plus although I've not played it, it was one of those games that got slated before anyone got their hands on it. It looks fun to me, and it was probably bought out to remind people the series ain't dead yet 🖒🖒

@FragRed Plus retailers can probably get heavily fined if they leak. during the lead up to the release of Godzilla 2014 a toys r us employee leaked big shots of the toy lineup for the movie at his/her store. TRU was heavily fined and the employee fired. a bit of apples n oranges but principal applies.

@WebHead Retailers often leak things like posters and release dates etc. Especially when everyone wants that 5 minutes of fame on the Internet, being the one to leak something big and with so many having smartphones, it's even harder to prevent for a retailer.

@FragRed So yeah if nintendo doesn't want hard leaks it'd be in their best interest to reveal soon.

@WebHead If the Eurogamer leaks are true then it doesn't really matter when they reveal from a leak standpoint because it's already leaked.

Is it fair to say people that leak are bad at their jobs?

Even assuming the Eurogamer leaks are legitimate, there are way too many question marks hanging around, so a reveal does matter a lot. We may already know the concept, but we need to see the execution of said concept taking shape, to gage our interest on it.
Well, Nintendo seems impervious to it all and just does its own thing.

I doubt we'll hear anything this month, honestly. I do admit waking up and hoping I'll finally see some news report, but that feeling is fading. They'll do what they want when they want it and right now they seem to want to keep everyone in the dark for as long as possible

@Operative I admit that the past week, checking NL on my phone is one of the first things I do when I wake up.
But I don't believe a reveal in September and now, I'm not too sure about October either. Just feel that this screams "bad business" to keep everyone in the dark for so long, for all the reasons I wrote about a day or two ago. You play dead for too long and people start to wonder what happened and picture grim scenarios. Like "Has something gone off-track during development?" or "Are they still on schedule?".

@Samurai_Goroh I've said before that I'm sure Nintendo hasn't known when or how they are to reveal the NX themselves which is what's lead to the lack of any information. I mean, you don't generally give details on a release month but nothing about the console itself or a date to reveal it.

They even managed to have it as a grand prize in a European competition which kinda says a lot about Nintendo's screwed up mindset.
