We really aren't getting it this month then.

That said, I hope they do it right instead of screwing up the reveal, though I want to know now....

Why would gamer splash be a trusted source?

Personally, the whole interview feels too polished and structured. I have a hard time believing a developer would give such a lengthy interview about something he/she has a NDA on. And the interviewee doesn't sound like a developer, small things are off everywhere.

I read the interview and honestly I can see why they got past the NDA. It tells no secrets on the hardware or software. It is purely about documentation and support. Something that isn't as bound to an NDA as you'd think.

Quite often they are forbidden to even mention they have a dev kit, for fear of people trying to break in and steal it.

You'd honestly be surprised! I know quite a few devs in the industry who say only the "what is" and "how it works" are really focused on in the NDA. However a fair few of them just keep the whole ordeal quiet because it is just easier that way. Personally I'd keep my mouth shut if I ever get to develop on the Nintendo devices because I'd just not want all the questions.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE Dunno how I missed this post about NWPlayer123's tweets. I've heard about them before but don't know enough about their past to get too excited regarding what they posted. What have they said before that was accurate?

@SLIGEACH_EIRE Delaying the NX would be suicide for its chances of success I feel.

Yeah I've been predicting a delay for a few months now. It'll be disappointing though.

Moshugan

@SLIGEACH_EIRE LOL, now your posting links like this and just a few posts ago you were touting that "it'll happen this week, have faith".

Ugh.. That article summed up my anxiety considering the NX March release quite adequately, though. All of this silence doesn't feel good man. Although that Forbes article is purely educated guesswork.
Even if they end up delaying the NX, I hope they'll be merciful and release the Breath of the Wild for Wii U earlier!

@Moshugan Nintendo has killed the Wii U dead. The only reason that game is coming to it at all is because they've been promising it for so long it would create a backlash they'd never recover from. So I doubt they'd release it prior to the NX release

SLIGEACH_EIRE

@Moshugan I still believe. I'm just posting the news around the net.

Edit: But you wouldn't put anything past Nintendo. Their complete silence is worrying and Nintendo are King of Delays.

I could totally imagine even the unveiling being delayed to next year, with a proper blowout at e3

TuVictus

FragRed

@Operative I dunno how well that would work as Microsoft is likely going to do the same with the Scorpio. Nintendo doesn't seem keen to share the spotlight with their unveiling.

If they are planning on delaying it, they should just say it ASAP and not keep the fans hoping!

just one author's opinion and it blows up.

IceClimbers

Yeah that's a Forbes contributor's opinion. Means nothing. The Xbox One was revealed only 6 months before launch. They did a whole console reveal, pulled a complete 180, and then advertised the thing in that span.

Nintendo has plenty of time.

I think it will be a bad move for Nintendo to reveal the NX in October baring in mind that Sony are going to be starting to really push the marketing hype for PSVR that launches also in October.

@FragRed Then when is the right time? There isn't if you want to avoid all other system announcements, marketing campaigns and games. Nobody's going to leave an empty room so Nintendo can reveal their system. There's always something..

Anyway, so the reveal rumours have been moved from September to October. Let's see how long it takes before they start saying November..
