Daily drop has arrived. And I'm happy to report Banner Saga only needs the 3rd game downloaded. First 2 are on cart. Was worried they'd only put one of them on cart. Saves space versus all 3 digital.

4.3gb update So not only is it super tiny, it's an update rather than a download code. Meaning the 3rd game comes with the cart to any other system. It's not a one use thing.

I am very, very pleased.

Gutted yo hear about the closure of TellTale games and that we likely eomt see the conclusion of the Walking Dead series.

Oh man, this game looks incredible. Marble Madness in 2018. Like Art of Balance level of polish, but in the Super Monkey Ball genre.

And goodness knows I've been waiting for Super Monkey Ball to return.

This though? Oh ya. This'll do.

@Tsurii Oh there's quite a few indie games that I could get for free or for only a few dollars using all of those gold points. Undertale or Hyper Light Drifter for example. Just a matter of which one I want to bite on or if I want to use those points as a discount for one of the bigger games like DB FighterZ or Diablo or Mega Man 11 ($14 for a new Mega Man game is pretty tempting!)

@IceClimbers If you're looking for a great indie game, I can't recommend The Messenger highly enough. Superb game. A proper platformer, ala Shovel Knight which the Switch doesn't really have too many of. Feels great to control, looks great, sounds amazing and is a fairly lengthy adventure. I've put in over 20 hours so far.

Best indie platformer on Switch,bar none!

I’m not mad that Capcom is porting the first 3 gyakuten saiban games to switch but I was hoping for the last 3 and maybe dai 1 and 2. They already put the 123 collection on 3ds so this isn’t new work. I’ll pick it up when it gets cheap, as at this point I only want it for the tv play. I hope they surprise us with more though.

I think they could at least start adding the fourth game to these collections.

That new Pokémon that’s been leaked/shown looks like someone stuck a nut and a piece of wire into silly putty. Not saying that it worse than other previous designs, but it’s definitely not as charming as say Klefki, Ditto, Vanilite’s line, etc imo. It doesn’t rub me the right way.

I mean I think voltorb and its evo are dumb. Perhaps a better way of putting it would be that it just doesn’t seem cute to me. Ditto is pile of slime but is atleast cute to me.

I’ll probably get used to it.

Marble It Up is from the legends who created Marble Madness on NES, and several cult classic marble games over the years since.

This one is definitely a game to watch. Releases September 29th on Switch in NA btw! Multiplayer being added in later, and discussing physical release later on as well.

I can't wait. I need it now. I need it NOW...

@-Green- I wouldn't say they are dumb, just simple. There's nothing wrong with simplicity. Their designs are very effective I think.

I don't get pokemon design complaints when even gen 1 had dumb ideas like "some eggs and one has a crack"

I kinda like it, especially if it's a mechanically interesting Pokemon which it may well be given how they're revealing it. I'd argue that a Pokemon's description and mechanics are just as important to it's design as how it looks. For example Mimikyu, probably one of favourite Pokemon design wise, is literally a spirit hiding under a rag with a crude drawing of Pikachu on it. How it was introduced in the game, it's description and it's abilities are what elevates it.

Kinda like Ditto in a way. Ditto without transform is not really exciting at all design wise. As a design it's like Grimer without the toxic waste, boring. But with Transform? Suddenly it becomes one of the most interesting Pokemon in the game.

Give it a chance.

Probably a steel type. Also reminds me of the Plasm Wraith in Pikmin, both its slug form and humanoid form.

I like how it has a little eye inside the metal piece.

Oh my. Just now found out the hard way that not in use party members (in Shining Resonance Refrain) don't earn ANY exp (first time I've ran across this in a modern RPG). I was just forced into a battle where I'm stuck with 2 characters neither of which I regularly use (one of them was still level 15 in a part of the game where enemies are now between level 60-70), and I got one shot by a regular enemy, lol. Looks like I'm going to have to spend my time levelling these losers up.

Anyhow, I also played through the demo of Dragon Quest Builders recently, and it's definitely going high up on my list of wants. It passed me up when it released because I was playing BotW at the time, and I only now remembered it because I happened to pass by an episode of the Price is Right earlier this week where they gave away a pair of Switch consoles with DQB, Kirby, DKCTF, & Captain Toad, lol.

@Octane I can't wait to see the plasm wraith come back in pikmin 4!
