Is the MCC update for the 4K textures, because if so I hope it's not necessary. I remember the hours it took to download the TV episodes for Quantum Break which I think was about 60 to 70GB.

Over one fifth of a One S HDD can be taken up by ONE GAME?!
My God....
Let's apply a little bit of sense and perspective - it's not one game, it's a collection of 4.
Not looking forward to that download though. It certainly renders the disc version of the game fairly obsolete, assuming the update is any good. I forget, does XB1 force game updates or are they optional?
@Ralizah
Saw that video earlier. That's classic. They seem really flattered that they inspired a generation of gamers 30 years later, with The Messenger paying homage to their claim to fame.
Psalms 22:16 (1,000 yrs before Christ)
They pierced My hands and feet
Isaiah 53:5 (700 yrs before Christ)
He was pierced for our transgressions
Zachariah 12:10 (500 yrs before Christ)
They will look on Me whom they pierced
@Ralizah ROFL! That's so spot on priceless....that needs to go in the internet vault of very important things Actually that description applies to quite a few games, particularly where "lore" is applied. It became a phrase with Souls, but it existed for a while in other games. It's a fun euphemism for "boring game where the artiste (with an e) designers were so interested in setting mood for the post-events world they had in their heads they forgot about story and threw in some background as a post-story-board add-on"
Spot on about the "youtube lore videos"....I've often wondered who these people are that have time for story (or gameplay strategy) by watching every youtuber known to man....I'm convinced nobody over 19 can understand.
@FragRed This brings MCC and Quantum Break to near parity at 200GB a piece. Though at least MCC is actually just a collection, so it's not one 200GB bloated game like Quantum, it's 4 "normal sized" 50GB games.... The trouble is they're digital-only even if you have the disc, and 75GB is double some people's monthly bandwidth cap. I do love how the game industry just assumes everyone lives in Seattle with Google Fiber.
@NEStalgia Just imagine living in a country like Australia having to download these games! You’d need a second hobby whilst you wait for your first hobby to be playable. And just wait for the next generation consoles. Those file sizes are going to be keep on growing

@Grumblevolcano Well, that's perfect, when your others systems are downloading, you can drive to the nearest shop to buy a box full of SD cards for your Switch
@FragRed I feel you! I have good internet now but for a long long time, I was capped. A >5GB patch was basically a "you're not allowed to play" sign. There's a serious, serious sickness of the modern tech and gaming world that assumes if something is good for a >50% majority it's simply the way of the world now and everyone else has to keep up or be left behind, else they don't exist. Like own own little Midgar.
@Grumblevolcano Lies!!! The Switch takes longer to download a 10GB game over fiber than the X1 can download the entire MCC with tin cans and a string.
All you guys complaining about 100 GB games and I'm sitting here angry at OBS recording my games at 22 GB or higher for 1.5+ hours of footage. I don't care about huge games as much as huge video files that THEN need to be compressed with Handbrake.
Metroid, Xenoblade, EarthBound shill
I run a YouTube/Twitch channel for fun. Check me out if you want to!
