Regarding Ubisoft and their claim, they've definitely got the most successful selling 3rd party game on Switch. But in terms of numbers of games released they've not been great, with mainly cheap ports.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE The Switch is both as you see fit to use it.
Its been almost a year. This isnt hard. Just because they advertise it more as a portable doesnt mean it suddenly isnt also capable of being a home system.

@YummyHappyPills As a home console it's not much more powerful than the Wii U which itself was criticised for its lack of power back when it launched. As a portable, however, it's a beast. Nintendo know what way it should be advertised predominantly. When the 3DS dies, Nintendo will fully back it as a handheld. And also because its lack of power as a home console is only going to widen with time.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE Actually as a portable it is barely above Wii U. As a home console it sits between Wii U and Xbox One.
Sure in GPU power its not that far ahead but in CPU power it is leagues above Wii U, which is why we are seeing Wii U games run better even when they are literal straight ports.
Bayonetta 2 for instance has a 10fps increase when nothing has been done to the game.
Marketibg Switch as a home cobsole is not wrong. Thats what it is. Marketing it as a portable is also not wrong. Thats what it is.
Also I find it odd that Wii U was criticised for power when it launched. So you mean to tell me in November 2012 before the PS4 and Xbox One were publicly known quantities. The Wii U outside of CPU ran rings around Xbox 360 and PS3.
Wure a year after launch itd be considered underpowered, but in 2012, not so much.
Also underpowered isnt the term Id use for a system that is below its contemporaries. Underpowered implies there is a minimum sufficient specification that has been failed to reach.

That's good news. I'd like to see some of their major franchise on Switch. There's DQ but apart from that, it's their lesser games. I think they might now be starting to put bigger support on Switch but that'll take time to see it come to fruition.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE Didn't they say a while ago that they think Switch is an ideal platform for mid tier games? I think we'll see a lot of that stuff come over. In fact, TWEWY: Final Remix backs that up.
I think we'll see stuff like World of Final Fantasy, FFXII the Zodiac Age, Secret of Mana remake, etc. come to Switch.
As far as their bigger stuff, I think the Tomb Raider Reboot and Rise of the Tomb Raider are possible. The Kingdom Hearts Remix Collection and 2.8 are also quite possible I suppose.
No way in hell FF7 Remake or their Avengers game come to Switch. Kingdom Hearts III... maybe, but it wouldn't be until well after the initial release elsewhere. Even then I kinda doubt it.
Anyways, as for the Ubisoft quote, that statement is dependent on how you define it. Ubisoft is claiming that because of Mario + Rabbids being a major exclusive and it being the best selling third party title.
I'd argue Square Enix is the most prolific supporter of the Switch. In that sense they could be defined as the "biggest" Switch supporter.
@IceClimbers If Koei Tecmo localized all their games, they'd blow Square Enix out of the water easily. But yeah, here in the west Square Enix is probably tops.
@IceClimbers I think Square Enix is doing the best for exclusives and creating a completely different library for Switch than other platforms. But in terms of traditional support, it's rather disappointing to be honest at least based on what we know so far.
I'd prefer more stuff like Crystal Chronicles and Octopath Traveler than them wasting time trying to get FF15 on the console.
I doubt KH3 will come, but if it does, I hope we get the HD collections, though they seem exclusive to PS so I may be unaware of whatever legal stuff might keep them there.
