Quite a good article - hits the main 3 points:

1- high price in £

2- headquarters of NoE in Germany

3- poor retail sales operation in the UK and horrendous relationships with the (disproportionately important) supermarkets

Still 700,000 here is good going.

Apriori Digital have just put out an official trailer for Aperion Cyberstorm. It's available 8th February on Nintendo Switch but also on Nintendo Wii U and Steam. This game has been a long time coming.

Here's a thought regarding the rumour. Does the rumour specifically state all those games are for Switch? If not I could see Luigi's Mansion and WarioWare potentially being 3DS games (either platform seems realistic but not both). Nintendo did say they're still making 3DS games, WarioWare is one of the few IPs 3DS has not seen and some 3DS games were playable at E3 2017 (e.g. Metroid Samus Returns, Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga).

Owlboy is getting a physical release, the date is 29th May.

This is better than how other companies release a game digitally and then announce a physical version a month or two later. Though having said that, the game has been available to pre-order since last week so I'm sure there are some people who got burned.

@Grumblevolcano Yes, the rumour states all of them are Switch games and there won't be any 3DS games at E3.

Continued big sales for Monster Hunter World and PS4. Splatoon 2 will pass the 2 million mark in Japan next week in physical sales. It's already there with digital sales added. Very impressive. Skyrim sales, however, are not impressive.

IGN have nearly 8 minutes of Fe running on Switch. The game looks great.

Interesting how it only took one game for Switch and PS4 sales to essentially swap places in the charts. I wonder how long this "MHW bump" will last.

So... The Vita sold more than the Xbox One and Xbox One X combined (plus more?)? OUCH. I didn't even know that the Vita was still supported. I haven't heard about it in years, yet here it is beating out the sales of one of the big three consoles, and by a wide margin.

There must be something I'm missing.

@YummyHappyPills Indeed. I'm going to give that a miss for now though, it wasn't that long ago I played through the sequel for the 2nd time. A witch in time saves a dime as they say.

So Fe and Bayonetta 1 & 2 in the same week. Could Nintendo not have given Fe a week or 2 to breathe?

@Harmonie Vita was and is better supported in Japan. It's still getting games every now and then, but it's an old system, so I don't expect that to last much longer. The Vita sales in Japan are comparable to that of the PS4 sales in Japan. Not amazing, but it could be worse.

@Harmonie The Vita has always been fairly popular in Japan whereas the Xbox might as well not exist. The majority of those Xbox sales are probably from American and British expats.

Got my Climax Edition Bayonetta 2 preordered from Japan, with physical cartridge for Bayonetta 1 and 2.

DQ Builders is coming in a couple days also. This is the longest I've gone without playing Switch since it launched (and it's only been 2 weeks lol). I need that DKC Tropical Freeze though, and The World Ends With You. And Valkyria Chronicles 4 and Fire Emblem. Oooh 2018 you're taking out the trash! Fire Emblem and Valkyria Chronicles 4 will probably top Zelda and Mario for me. If they hit Metroid Prime 4 and a new MH in 2019 that would just continue the incredible streak! I would literally have all my favorite game series on my favorite console. Let's do this

Probably a few weeks, then die down. It'll likely stat 10k higher than usual for a few months though.

Switch sales, I think, are completely independent of what else is going on. Until Nintendo starts releasing some bigger games in Japan, it'll probably stay where it's at, and ramp back up in spring or after e3.

Not really sure what games are still big in Japan that's coming to Switch. Pokemon will do massive numbers though, and if it hits 2018, that and Splatoon 2 will probably carry it the rest of it's life in Japan. Games like Dragon Quest XI and other 2018/2019 titles will only seal the deal.

@JaxonH I agree. PS4 sales only really ramped up when the PS4 got the biggest game it'll ever likely get in Japan, whereas the Switch is still selling decently despite having nothing exciting on the immediate horizon.

Still, it's a good illustration of the sheer draw the I.P. has in Japan.

What would it take to get you lot to refrain discussing E3 'leaks'until at least May?

If we had an 'E3 2018 speculation' thread, would you use it? I'm not sure I can take 4 months of it.

I guess let's talk about some other Switch stuff in the Switch thread, then. Switch is pretty cool.
