To all those who keep suggesting Super Monkey Ball in these forums to come to the Switch. That would be totally amazing.....

However, let's be brutally honest. Does it have Sonic in it? No. Therefore Sega don't care.

A merge of Monkey Ball and Sonic continuities? Or just say screw you to the Monkey Ball fans in making a game that is Monkey Ball in everything but name?
Can we get Sonic the Hedgehog and the Giant Chao Egg as well?

Because of its sense of speed in some levels, you could argue Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2 are some of the better Sonic games out there. :V

I knew the Switch Power consumption was going to be low. Even lower then the Wii U. I wanted to see the power consumption of the Switch so I decided to hook it up to a Watt Meter.
I use my Switch docked 99% of the time.

It took 28 days to reach 1 KWh
Peak power consumption was 19.6 Watts
Average standby was .2 Watts
Average power consumption while powered on was in the range of 6~15 watts.

In comparison the Wii U was about 30~40 Watts when on.

Haruki_NLI

@Hikingguy That's one thing Nintendo is absurdly good with.

Wii was around 40 watts. Wii U managed below that, somehow. Switch is even lower. Every system has the hidden cost of the electric bill after all.

Thing is, compare even the Wii to the Xbox One or PS4 consumption and it's....horrifying.

Of course Nvidia are also very good at managing power consumption/spec/heat with mobile chipsets. They really did make the right choice in picking Nvidia.

@YummyHappyPills You are right, the Wii U was even lower than the Wii. And for its time the Wii was way lower than the PS3 or Xbox 360. I do not own either the PS4 or Xbox one, but I am sure they would be pretty high in the power consumption.
I kept looked at the meter and thinking, I cannot believe it has not hit 1 KWh yet. The other consoles hit that in no time at all.
I did nothing special. My play time was pretty average. I used the Switch most days but I am sure there were a handful of days with no use, but still the standby was ticking away.
So I would have to say that I am pretty impressed.

Hasn’t Sega been saying that to Monkey Ball fans repeatedly since Super Monkey Ball 2 was released?

I like the idea of merging continuities though! Like maybe Robotnik trapped those monkeys in balls to begin with...

Seems like the power consumption of the Switch, PS4 and Pro and the revised models of the Xbox One are about equal, relative to their graphical power.

And the Wii scores pretty low on the list. The amount of power consumed per GFLOP is pretty high.

I have Lego city undercover, I already completed it, I liked it a lot but I didn't like that much the setting and the playable characters. I hope Lego will make a game very similar to this but with a fantasy setting. I have played some others Lego games like Harry Potter and LOTR but they are less good and I'd prefer a game not based on other media. I have Lego worlds on PC too but I think it is the worst Lego game of them all. Exactly the opposite of Lego City Undercover. Tie in Lego games are somewhere in the middle quality-wise.

I just wonder what is the Worst part from LEGO Worlds (any machines) ?
I had Mixed reception about that game, between interested and Not interested at all.
The interesting part : creating own town with LEGO villagers, usable furnitures, animals, terrains, etc.
The lame part : Horrendeous costumes (Ew... Zombie, Supernatural creatures, and something ugly to see), have to "kill" the LEGO enemies until they were broke apart like exploded (that was i Strong disliked).

Oh, well.
I had finished LEGO CITY Undercover Wii U anyway.
Now, i will finish the Switch version.

No good deed
Will I do
AGAIN...!!!

LuckyLand

@Anti-Matter In Lego worlds creating stuff is extremely laborious and complex, it is not fun at all it is completely different than actually building Lego stuff IRL.
Also the game feel quite shallow and uninteresting and most of its features are still very unpolished (and it was a lot worse at first when it was in early access so it has been improved at least a bit but it is still bad)

Iconoclasts could be coming to the Switch.

This is a game I've seen a good bit of and have heard great things about it. The reviews back it up. It reminds me of Metroid.

There's a rumour going around that Treyarch's 2018 CoD game is Black Ops 4 and it's coming to Switch.

Grumblevolcano

FragRed

@Grumblevolcano The first part of the rumour is pretty obvious being how successful the Black Ops series is. The second bit I don't believe. The last COD they released on the last generation of consoles they excluded single player due to "limitations" in the power. I can't see the Switch being much difference.
