Xenoblade was boring, X looked empty, dull and had ugly faces, didn't even buy the game. 2 looked better, then it had weird furry swords in bikinis. I ran and I never looked back...
@DarthNocturnal
Anyone who's hacked systems knows it's not as simple as packaging a new ROM, even if an emulator is being used.
Games will usually run 90% good enough without any work but it's getting that last 10% that tends to be the issue, and we all know when you buy a virtual console game it's 100%

@Joeynator3000 I'd also pay $100 for a Xenoblade 1 remaster/port. Though, it's my least favorite one because the side content was absolutely trash and not fun. Xenoblade X and 2 have those moments too, but Xenoblade 1 was the worst of it. Nearly every single piece of side content in Xenoblade 1 was terrible.

Aside from one mission, they weren't that bad...a lot of the missions in X were just annoying, especially the material ones. Only one I had issues with in the original game was getting this one boss to spawn, apparently it only shows up...in the morning/day during sunny weather or something. (even though you fought him inside a cave or something, lol)

Keep it PG-13-ish.
I felt the only bad side quest in Xenoblade 2 was Ursula's as getting the vocals/looks/soul stamps were just downright annoying. Maybe it wouldn't have been so bad if I still had main story content left but all I had left for stuff to do at that point was grinding trust with pouch items, Blade side quests and superbosses.
@Grumblevolcano I agree that one is soooo bad, but I tend to leave merc by letting them running on the background anyway, so I don't mind it as much (and luckily got her very, very early in the game too)

@kkslider5552000 Not talking about world design and combat. Those two elements were great. I was talking about sidequests like the fetch quests and kill this quests that plagued every city, especially Alcamoth. Colony 6 reconstruction was also tedious, the affinity charts with NPCs was tedious, etc. Xenoblade X and 2 moved them all to the terminal (X) and the Merc Missions (2) to allow for a better sidequest ratio in both of those games.
Only a few of Xenoblade 1's sidequests were good like Tyrea's quest, but that isn't enough to make up for the other bad sidequests. At least Xenoblade X's underwhelming main story wasn't actively frustrating.

What is it with Nintendo and announcements out of the blue on twitter?
Anyway, I'd love a port if X on Switch. It's sidequests were brilliant, and I never got bored of exploring Mira, unlike in BotW that I was sick of just wandering at the endgame.
