Wasn't very impressed by it. They'd better have some great first party 2018 games to make up for these ones. A bunch of Wii U ports and games like Yoshi and Kirby don't exactly make a great first part of the year.
Games like the Souls remaster I would be excited for, but I'm not a portable gamer, so I would buy that on PS4 if I wanted it. Games like Mario Tennis don't really interest me much, either.
This doesn't exactly scream "we are aiming to sell 20 million systems". So unless Nintendo plan to shift 20 million in the second half of the fiscal year, this ain't looking good.

@-Green- Probably going to be something like this:
January - Nothing
February - Bayonetta 1+2
March - Kirby
April - Hyrule Warriors, Mario Tennis Aces (these 2 are labelled Spring but given the other games release dates I predict both will be April)
May - Tropical Freeze
Octopath and Fire Emblem are 2018 too. And again, remember 2017, how much did we know of the latter part of the year before we got there? They like to announce things close to release.
Now Playing: Mario & Luigi Brothership, Sonic x Shadow Generations
Now Streaming: The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
@SLIGEACH_EIRE NEVER fall for the hype. When was the last time a Nintendo Direct (which E3 and the Switch presentation were not, for clarification) was actually exciting?
This time my expectations were incredibly low. And when I saw it was a Direct Mini, my expectations fell even lower.
I’m not a fan of Nintendo games, I bought the switch because of Skyrim on the go and the hope of more ports like that. There’s nothing I’d play from this announcement though. Urgh Dark Souls! I suppose Nintendo might make money from replacing all the switches broken by frustrated players 😂
Switch: Dragon Quest Builders 2, Fire Emblem Three Houses, Valkyria Chronicles, Shin Megami Tensei
PC: Farming Simulator 22
@-Green- Ya but Nintendo fed it yesterday until it was literally a bloated explosion waiting to happen and instead it deflated today like a whoopee cushion.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE Which was expected tbh. Regardless of the actual direct (which based on impressions I've seen, is average for a Mini), you can't please everyone especially when they're hyped.
@darkfenrir I am. I'm glad the trailer showed the girl from the mobile port's (Solo Remix) secret ending. I knew of her even though I haven't played the mobile version. I have the superior DS version after all. I like the name the fanbase gave the mystery character, though. She's known as Hype-Chan.
I wonder if this is Nintendo's new approach for Directs in general. Maybe we'll get shorter videos but more often? I'd take one of those every month.
@Late Oooo I never knew she's from the secret ending! Curioser and curioser. And same, never played mobile version, but now I'll just wait for Switch version... Final Remix, after all!
Am I the only one who was a little put off with the way they handled announcing Dark Souls?
I don't know the series, I don't know how big of a deal it is to be released on the Switch. However, that's kind of aside from the point, IMO. They hyped up that announcement big time and introduced the trailer saying "Nintendo fans..." In addition to being the last announcement, I really felt like that should have been a Nintendo title they announced there.
