Does anyone have a way of improving the connectivity of the joy cons? I can't put my switch anywhere except behind my TV, but it makes playing with split joy cons so frustrating! It will just cut out and not do anything or it will just keep repeating the input that it last received.
I found that putting them in the grip fixes the issue from most angles but it's not the best for motion controls. It's not the most comfortable thing in the world either. Any suggestions? Or should I just save my money for a Pro Controller?
@FragRed I don’t know. I think there’s still a lot of scope. Announcing DLC around the release of a game isn’t always popular & the original DLC wasn’t announced until months after launch.
Particularly for a ‘complete’ port it would have been risky to announce DLC early. The discussion around the game would have been clouded over in part about how there’s still a question mark over what the DLC would be and criticism that they should have delayed the game until it was finished and folded it into the retail game.
Careful handling can be the difference between lots of “6/10 rushed and Nintendo is only selling you half a game” reviews and “9/10 definitive version of the best MK”.
Who knows. It’s an evergreen title that’s going to sell millions more copies. I think DLC makes a lot of sense (much more than MK9) but Nintendo is difficult to predict.
@antster1983 You usually hear status reports on games (like, the Hollow Knight devs have confirmed the Switch version for early 2018), which makes the silence from the Pocket Rumble devs so weird. Eh, whatever. If it comes, it comes. If not... oh well.
@gcunit They're too sensitive. Too many times I try to block and end up punching or throwing instead.
Not to mention the fact that I feel uneasy with the way you actually move the character around.
Well they upped their forecast to 14 million this fiscal, and then there were the coupl e of million they sold before the fiscal (but still classed as this year) so...maybe...?
I never drive faster than I can see. Besides, it's all in the reflexes.
@YummyHappyPills Oh, does the command just say L & R? My bad! (..I think it works with the trigger buttons as well though)
@StuTwo Haha! Yeah, that stage was awesome too! ..they all were! ..and the fact that you had to find all of those hidden keys just to unlock the stages in the first place! (I remember some of them being crazy hard to find - like the one in a distant water cave! ..had fun hunting them all down though!)
MK8D is back up at no.4 (I think) on the UK eshop, thanks to Christmas, ahead of Nintendo's 'christmas' release, Odyssey.
I really like the character design in Shu ('coming soon') but the characters look like they move a bit funny possibly. I really hope it's good, but I suspect otherwise.
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?

@Ralizah Nintendo themselves said 10 million sold through as of December 10th. Yeah I find it hard to believe they sold another 5 million since then. I can see them selling another 2 million for 12 million total, but 5 million? Nah.
@JaxonH The article clearly said for all of 2017. Now maybe they were just rounding up from say 14.6 million or something. I hope it's true but even I have a hard time believing 15 million after Nintendo just said 10 million a few weeks back.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
@Spoony_Tech
I didn't read it, but it just makes no sense to claim a number that high, which is why I think they meant fiscal year, even if that's not how it was said.
Only other option is shipped. Probably 11 million sold by end of 2017, with another 3.xx mil shipped out on top of it, rounding up to 15... Idk.
Fiscal year makes more sense to me
Psalms 22:16 (1,000 yrs before Christ)
They pierced My hands and feet
Isaiah 53:5 (700 yrs before Christ)
He was pierced for our transgressions
Sales aren't linear. If they're going to hit 15mill this fiscal year they will be very, very close to that by Jan 1. Purely because the vast majority of sales are in Dec/Nov. For example the Wii in 2008 only about 8% of the calendar year sales were in jan-mar while 42% were in oct-dec. December sales alone were ~20% of the years sales, which is typical.
